Policeman or Delivery Boy?
My neighbor accused me of "stealing some firewood".A policeman came to my door. His first statement was,"your neighbor does not want you to steal his firewood." I was immediately defensive and irritated since my neighbor has a long criminal record. I have none. When I asked the officer to clarify what it was that I was accused of he repeated the statement adding, "I'm just a messenger". I was appalled by the officer's presentation and attitude toward me. He had no interest in telling me when I was supposed to have committed this crime so I could defend myself. He did not take the time to engage me in a logical and courteous dialogue. Since when do the police "deliver messages"? I have a mailman who can do that. I asked his supervisor if he approved of the officer's decision to deliver a false accusation on behalf of my irate neighbor without cause? The supervisor stupefied me by replying, "Well, if the accusation was not true it should not bother you.." and added "do you suffer from a mental illness?" The supervisor was in obvious suppression by intimidation mode and that added to my obvious frustration.I refuse to be insulted by anybody at my front door much less the police department of Broken Arrow. The officer told me that I was becoming "disorderly" as my neighbor quickly moved toward me and threatened to do physical bodily harm to me. I defended myself. This fiasco was nerve wracking and could have easily been avoided. I'm living poor and disabled, not stupid! B.A. Okla.

BAPD might stand for "Broken Arrow Perfect Dept."
When my mother with Alzheimer's had driven and gotten lost, A BAPD officer returned her home and left a message for me to call the police dept. to find out where her car was. I never found his name but really like to thank him or her. Also they have sent an officer to my home to help in making some decisions regarding restraining orders and how they could help me by patroling by my house more often in regards to a threat. I know they are paid to do this but I don't think many people take the time to thank them.
