Buckhead Sofa Store

We got a sofa from them about a year ago. Yes, the guy may be a bit eccentric, but we did not have any of the service issues that others have mentioned. The price & quality of sofa is unbeatable. It was picked as Clark Howard's Best Buy in I believe Money Magazine. The owner told me that he was like the guy from the movie Rain Man, so I'm guessing may have some issues. I have done quite a bit of research, and for that price & quality, you cannot buy that kind of furniture from anywhere else in Atlanta.

I spent $ 2500.00 on the fabric bought through this store. The loveseat and sofa cost less less than the fabric - not unusual, I know. The Upholstery portion of the sofas is good. THE CUSHIONS FOR BOTH SEATS AND ALL BACKS ARE CUT INCORRECTLY! If Ted had half a brain, he would have made the manu. fix my sofas by having the fill & cushions re-cut. Instead, he tells me that with all sofas, you have to take out the fill or cushion and reposition everything every week or so. I have bought furniture for hotels for 25 years and have never had someone tell me such a lie to my face. Who cares what your price isthe cushions will have to be remade and you have lost a client and I will tell everyone to stay away from you!!!...

We ordered our custom sofa from Buckhead Sofa in October. They said it would take 6-8 weeks, but when it finally arrived 12 weeks later, it was the wrong fabric. They said they'd correct the problem, rush it through. No discount offered, other than us not having to pay shipping twice (well, duh). Twelve more weeks went by (SIX MONTHS total) with us calling every few weeks to ask WHAT THE HELL WAS TAKING SO LONG. And of course, we paid by check so we felt trapped. Finally our new sofa arrived. It's lovely, but no way would we ever go through that again.

This is going to sound familiar reading the other reviews but I went there looking for multiple pieces of furniture. I was shopping at many stores and initially, I will always want to just "look around" to get a feel of the store, the people, the style of furniture, etc. A man who worked there, I'm assuming the much discussed owner, approached me asking if he could assist. I said that I'd like to look around first. He then said that he wanted to give me a breakdown of how the furniture was made, etc., and I repeated very nicely that I just wanted to look around. At that point, he absolutely lost it. He started cursing a blue streak including the F***-Bomb and I got scared. I headed for the door ASAP - as he continued to scream obscenities at me. This was within 15-30 seconds after I entered the store. This guy needs to be locked away. A lady that worked there looked mortified but also looked like she had "seen that show" before....

This is the first of many reviews I plan on writing discouraging anyone from every stepping foot into this horrible store owned by a horrible man named Ted. He may come across as nice at first, but after he gets your initial deposit (which you MUST pay in CASH), I honestly believe that his goal is to treat his customers so terribly that they decide not to pay off their remaining balance. It is unbelievable that this store is still allowed to operate, but make sure you read all of the awful reviews this store receives by multiple websites (including the better business bureau) before you consider doing business here. Ted treated my wife and I like we were worthless pieces of garbage, and he will do the same to you.

The furniture is pretty nice, and may be discounted, but I would have rather paid a higher price and been treated like a human being than to have gone through such a horrible process with this store. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid Buckhead Sofa Store!
