I love this doggie day care. First of all they know all of the dogs by name. Second, they understand that the dogs have different personalities. Third, they are very friendly and helpful toward their clients. My dog Mikey is somewhat introverted but I felt safe bringing here for the above reasons. Alot of other doggie day centers just have way too many dogs in one area and they don't seem to respect the fact that animals like people need individual attention. I alway recommend my friends to Buckwood.

I chose Buckwood originally, because it was close to my vet, close to my apartment, and close to work. I moved about 20 minutes away and I still bring him to Buckwood mianly because they love him there and he seems to love it just as much. When we get out of the door, he practically pulls me up the front stairs and starts walking to the back the minute we get inside. They all know him by name and treat him sweetly. I would highly recommend them.

We have two German Shepherds that are Schutzhund lines and so they are VERY active. Unfortunately, most people that are inexperienced with these dogs perceive their excited behavior as aggressiveness. They are really big teddy bears though. Anyway, we had a WONDERFUL boarding experience and nobody once told us that our dogs were "aggressive". One care taker even knew about Schutzhund and understood that our dogs just needed more exercise and activity than most. For the first time ever, our dogs were actually calm on the ride back home because they were worn out from playing. We will definitely use Buckwood Pet Hotel from now on.

I was shopping around for dog boarders and went to Buckwood b/c of the reviews it got here on kudzu. Boy, those reviewers have been completely misled about how their pet is treated. Firstly, the place is dirty. Some kennels that are outdoors are small, dark and dank with several dogs in them. There were only two people helping. The kennels were so crowded! The manager had her pitiful german shepards there w/her, one w/a huge abdominal tumor and the other w/hip displaysia --hey go get your dogs some medical care and a bath. If she cares for her dogs like this just think how yours are cared for. Also, someone's french bulldog puppy was in the lobby w/them and the german shepards had the little pup's head in their giant mouth, and the manager laughs and says, "If the owner only knew their dog's head was in my dogs' mouth..." Buckwood is dispicable and depressing and I encourage NO ONE to take their loved pet to this place and if your pet is currently there, get them OUT NOW! This place must be shut down and these poor animals must be moved to a better boarding facility like camp woof. Please heed my words; I was there and saw it w/ my own eyes.

This friendly kennel has always been a place that I could count on to take care of my "problem child" cocker spaniel. My little guy is 13 and a bit cranky and the folks at Buckwood Pet Hotel are patient and loving and conscientious in their care of my baby. It is also very conveniently located next to my great vet at Northside Pet Hospital.

I would leave my yellow lab at Buckwood when she was a puppy and needed interaction while I was at work. The people at Buckwood were great and LOVED seeing Ginger every time she came through the door. I could walk away feeling very confident she would be well loved during my absence.

I've been taking my dog to Buckwood for years, and he actually PULLS on his leash to go inside! They really seem to care about the animals that board with them, and their rates are reasonable. They've been in business for a long time, too. I also like that they're right off the highway, so it's convenient for dropoff on my way to the airport. The only thing I'd change about them is extending their pickup/dropoff hours - somewhat challenging for business travel.
