I took my car to Buddy's to get the oil changed. With the oil change comes the basic checking and filling of the car's fluids. Before I arrived at Buddy's, my car's "Check Coolant" light came on, which meant it was low. When I left Buddy's after getting the oil changed, the light was still on. When I got home, I looked and the coolant was low. It irritated me so I called Buddy's, and the mechanic that answered the phone asked if I wanted to come back the next day to get it filled, with a quick little apology thrown in at the end. I really didn't want to, but I definitely did not want to go to the store to buy a bottle of antifreeze. So I took the car in, one of the main guys (Steve) went outside with my key, said a few words to one of the mechanics, then the guy went and did his job. When he told me it was finished, he said "Sorry about that" and I went to my car. I found this situation very irresponsible and unprofessional. I had to make a trip out of my way in order for them to finish their job that they should have done the first time. It is even clearly written on the receipt that they "checked fluids", etc. Don't claim to have done something if you didn't really do it!

I've used Buddy's now for about two years, and I highly recommend them for all of your auto service needs. They're reasonably priced, honest and fair. I never worry about being ripped off. Owner/operators are great people!

I went to Buddy's about 10 years ago needing to have my carburetor rebuilt to pass inspection. I paid over $200 for the service. This included a fee for computer testing to see what my trouble was before they worked on my car. I had already had this done and did not request for it to be repeated. It did pass inspection, but I had trouble afterwords with hesitation and stalling when I would start from a stopped position. This happened once coming out of a parking lot into heavy traffic. I took it back twice and had to leave it two days for them to work it in and it continued to do the same. After the second time the mechanic said that it that didn't fix it they would have to go inside of the carburetor and try something else. I wound up taking it to another garage that specialized in the service and had it repaired correctly the first time. I had to pay again because Buddy's Tire And Service Center didn't know what to do after three attempts. I NEVER will go back and when asked for a reference in the area the first thing I say is never go to Buddy's.

i have been in georgia now 2 years and i have been looking for a mechanic, as other people i dont know much about cars so i saw their review on here and they were close by my house so i thought i'd take a chance. i really appreciate the service i was provided the gentleman talked to me took time out to discuss what problems i might have with my car, what i should do all of this without talking about money. what i like also is everyone who came in called him by his first name i will be doing all of my business there from now on - prices are reasonable and you dont feel like you are getting beat!
