Amazing Selection, 5/24/2010

I only recently heard of this place and have been a couple of times. They have a huge selection of hard-to-find ethnic foods (categorized by region), an unparalleled seafood section (I counted no... fewer than 16 different types of fresh shrimp) and a ridiculously large fruit/vegetable section with items that are sure to confound even the foodiest of foodies. They even have a corn tortilla machine that pumps out hard-to-find fresh corn tortillas that can be purchased *hot*! The selection is pretty mind-blowingly extensive and it isn't expensive. This place is a must-visit when you're in the mood for something different.

Food Heaven!, 3/30/2010

This place has already gotten RAVE reviews, so no need for another, but I had to write! I was amazed at this store for so many reasons. The owners clearly put a lot of effort into researching the... demographics and need of the ATL area, other ethnic food stores in the area, and offering products that people need, want and can't find closely. It's an impressively wide selection across the globe, and not just the standard fare/brands from each country. Rather, it's a great selection of many brands, products and even local stuff. You seriously need HOURS to go through there. Great prices, friendly staff all around, clean, neat, and smells great, despite the world class fresh fish counter in the back. A Korean food bar, sushi, and everything you could want. Food demos on weekends that make it easy to learn how to cook the foods you are curious about but can't read the labels of. Despite how wonderful, it's amazing that each self-proclaimed "foodie" I meet has NEVER been to BHFM, though they have heard of it. If you're a REAL foodie, you'll be a regular at this place!

Good place to get food for a healthy diet

I have been trying for quite a while now to change my family's eating habits. This farmer's market allows me to get healthier foods at affordable prices.

Best in Area

Recently updated the Market now has a large selection of ORGANIC produce as well as top quality herbs, produce and fruits. Large selection of international groceries and spices (Hispanic, Asian and Russian) Meats and fish are fresh and well priced. On-site production of soy milk and tofu, corn tortillias and bakery items. This place is clean and has wide open aisles. Best market in area for quality, freshness at a good value. MUCH better than grocery store produce offered at much lower prices.

Asian/ Hispanic food heaven

My FAVORTIE place to go for asian or hispanic food. The dry goods are a little pricey, but for the rarity of the goods, it's worth it. Try and avoid the weekends if you like having room to walk (it gets really crowded on the weekends!).

Good place for ethnic cuisine

If you're in search of Asian or Hispanic foods this is a great place to stop in at. The produce is good, but some of the dry goods can be a little expensive. The strong selection and variety of foods make this a worthwhile stop though. One of the staples I pick up are huge blocks of tofu for $1. You'd pay 2-3 times that price elsewhere and it is made fresh in the back. Free samples are also abundant if you come by on the weekends.

Buford hwy market

They have a large selection of fresh produce. They sell mainly Korean, Japaness, Mexican and Chinese products. There is a lot of traffic in the store due to popularity. Try to avoid going there in the afternoon on the weekends.

Multi-Cultural Superstore

The Buford Highway Farmers Market is a bustling multi-cultural superstore. Patiently looking for a parking space, navigating through a crowd of couples and families, it's obvious the store is something special. Signs above each aisle indicate the nationality of products - American, Hispanic, Korean, Indonesian, Chinese. There is a large and exotic selection of fresh produce, meat, and housewares. Often, chefs perform cooking demonstrations and immediately wrap up their food for sale. Stop at the snack bar to keep up your energy - You could shop for hours here!
