I decided to see Dr. Thompson after reading about her on her website. I was having some family issues that I could not quite understand or grasp. At my first session I was able to sum up what had been going on in my life. Dr. Thompson was able to help me to set goals and establish a few things that I needed to do. I also read her book, Surviving Mama. After six sessions with Dr. Thompson, I found that my confidence level and mindset had changed. I felt more comfortable in my skin and felt free. Dr. Thompson is annointed and definitely gifted. I am so happy to have found her and been able to overcome the obstacles that I was experiencing in my life. If you get a chance to sit down with her you will be happy that you did. You will know that you are at the right place.

I was very apprehensive when I was trying to decide to seek professional guidance for my life issues. I narrowed my search for doctors to three professionals. After speaking to each professional in a brief phone conversation, Dr. Thompson was the only one that made me feel comfortable. After my first appointment, I knew that I made the right decision. I believe Dr. Thompson is a blessing to everyone she counsels including myself. She is a gift from above for those willing to receive what she has to offer. She offers a toolbox that is full of tools that will assist you during life’s difficult moments. For those not ready, she is patient and will guide you to a point where you can strengthen your foundation or create a foundation where there never was one. Thank you for helping me to put my life in perspective and learn that we are all faced with different challenges throughout our life. I learned that during our difficult times it is okay to feel several emotions and that all of them can be worked through. I will always be thankful to God for allowing you to be in a position to help me.

I sought the assistance of Dr. Thompson to help me better understand some of the choices I made during the grieving process following my divorce. This was the first time I enlisted the help of a professional and therefore had a lot of trepidation in the beginning. Dr. Thompson turned out to be a wonderful blessing. After the first session, I knew she sincerely cared about her clients and their well being, that she wasn't in it just for the money. Additionally, she wasn't judgmental nor did she give pat answers. She really took the time to think about what and how she communicated. I was very appreciative of that!! During my first session with Dr. Thompson, I clearly communicated what my goal was and why I was seeking her help. By the end of the 6th session, she had assisted me in reaching that goal. She truly is a gifted and godly woman; a precious gift to this world. I'm so glad I didn't let my trepidation get in the way of allowing her to assist me!!

When I first started seeing Dr. Thompson in the summer of 2008 I was not sure what to expect. I knew that I needed help but I was apprehensive about sharing "my business" with a stranger. Dr. Thompson is a truly gifted counselor. Even her office sets a tone of peace, love, warmth and concern. Dr. Thompson sincerely listens and provides appropriate feedback that is real and attainable. This is my first time participating in one-on-one professional counseling and I have no regrets at all. With the help of Dr. Thompson, I am now on my way to a restoring, healing and fulfilling life!! She is a Blessing!!

Dr. Thompson is insightful, patient, and an exceptionally good listenter. She doesn't practice "cookbook" therapy, and I have found her advice and the exercises that she recommends to be personlized for me. I have recommended her to friends and colleagues, and I will continue to do so.
