Ok so of course I asked for a full refund. The sent me a check for $393 of our $5000 deposit saying that they are keeping the rest for work they completed. The only work they completed was raising some existing cabinets above the fridge / freezer 1 foot higher to accomodate the new appliances. That's it for $4600! I complained loudly and they said they'd give me an additional $1600. That means I paid $3000 to raise a few existing cabinets 1 foot higher. I would have never agreed to this! My appliance installer offered to do this for free! I told them I would file a complaint with the ROC. Then today they call and offer to complete the work! I hired another contractor to do the work two weeks ago when the sent me the first refund! Burdette, Burdette, Burdette...what on earth is going on over there?!? Stay away from these guys - they are a mess!

I hired Burdette Cabinet Company to do all the cabinets in my custom home in Las Sendas. We were thrilled with the beautiful craftsmanship. They also made custom furniture pieces for me with hand carved features. Amazing. We also interviewed several other cabinet makers. Nothing compared. I am shocked to hear about your experience. I will continue to recommend them to everyone that I know.
It is unfortunate that this person feels that way, because my experience with Burdette has been the exact opposite. Every time I had a question about my job someone was there to help. If my contact was in a meeting or unavailable, I may have had to leave a message, but they always got back to me in a timely fashion. I found that the staff was very knowledgeable about the many different options available. Plus the designers were creative, everything was custom fit to my wants and needs. In regards to your comment about the pricing, you get what you pay for. I would recommend them to anyone in need of beautiful handcrafted custom cabinetry.
My husband posted the review talking about Burdette being way overpriced and having absolutley the worst customer service. He's so upset with Burdette that he sent them an email to the review link to let them know what he was doing. That was a mistake because now it looks like the employees there have posted their own reviews! ErinInAZ is likely our sales person there. Really Erin - you couldn't at least "design" an original online name? You'll notice that there are three very positive reviews right after my husbands post. I suspect all are Burdette employees or friends of Erin's. Please take those posts with a grain of salt and buyer beware! Our experience was truly aweful. We were able to complete major renovations of our new house including the roof, view deck, garage, interior paint, lighting, floors etc etc without any issues except for the cabinet panels. We now have a beatiful home but have to pry open our appliances. Don't make the same mistake we did.
Wow! I just have to say that Burdette has done cabinetry in two different homes for me over the years. My experience was completely the opposite of anything that you are describing. Anyone out there can contact this fine company and get hundreds of recommendations from happy clients. Including me.
Very happy with my experience in Burdette's showroom today. I was told to get three bids on my remodel after meeting with Gary the owner of Burdette I do not think that looking elsewhere will be necessary especially in this economy of vendors closing their doors as soon as you give a deposit. Burdette seems very solid for good reason.

Dear HEC- your evaluation of Burdette could not be further form the truth. They produce a beautiful product for all budgets and have always completed projects on time for me. Ask for Tanya she is great!

Burdette has made a name for themselves in the Phoenix High End cabinet market and survived off this reputation. Their cabinets are marginal at best for the prices that they charge. They never met a schedule that they couldn't completely blow. In the end you will regret ever having contacted them.
