I think Chris should go back to plumbing school because I thought all plumbers were supposed to over-charge you. If this is the case he missed that part of the course, he charged me $500 less than the next lowest plumbing company. Chris was a true professional, he came when he said he would and did what he promised. Even though he quoted me over the phone, the price when he saw the job didn't vary far from his estimation. While his work speaks for itself, I would recommend him before anyone else. I only hope my rating gets him more business.

We had a slight plumbing emergency in our house (a downstairs bathroom leaked water into our basement. Chris from C&A came out and checked things out. Since the leak was not obvious, he offered a variety of possibilities as to the source, suggested the likelihood of each (based on what he saw and his experience), and then proceeded to address the most likely source of the leak and tighen everything down. He made it very clear as to how to monitor for continued problems, and offered credit towards a return visit if his fixes didn't address the issue. It's only been five days, but everything is still dry. Chris was very friendly, professional, and polite throughout the visit, was clear about rates and times, and estimated his time down instead of up, which was a unique experience for me when dealing with repair persons.

I'm leaving my old post below but I wanted to update this. I called Chris again when our water heater went out. He did a great job, was informative and gave us a fair deal. He's won me over and we'll use him again. ---[Old Review] -- Chris came out, misdiagnosed our leak and referred us to a tilesmith. He then charged us $87 for the 30 minutes (including the time to figure the bill) for the privilege of his visit. We had to hire another plumber to diagnose and fix the problem. I understand misdiagnoses can happen but it was irritating the he pushed for other business in our house when all I really wanted was the leak fixed. That is why I gave him 3 stars.

Dear SailingAlien, I am sorry about the misdiagnosis. When it comes to unknown leaks, we do our best figure it out as quickly as possible, and to create as little damage to drywall or other surrounding items to keep your cost down. If we referred a tilesmith, it was for reasons of the tile being damaged or the grout cracked. Water finds the easiest way out and that is always a possiblity. We do hold ourselves accountable for situations, like you experienced. We do wish that you would have given us a call. We would have either come back and credited your original amount to the repair or done something, to our agreement, to help with the situation. As for the comment of us pushing for other business, we always ask if there is anything else or let you know of a situation that we see since we are already there and we would hate for the possibility of your needs being missed and us having to charge again to come back out another time. As well as you having to take more time off of work or adjusting your personal time. It was meant to be a courtesy question, not as a pressure question. If you had felt that way, I do apologize. As for our prices, we are always honest and upfront with them with all of our customers and inquiries, from the initial phone call. We know your time and money are important to you. Again, I am sorry for your experience. Chris Johnson, President, CAJPS
I was extremely pleased with Chris' professionalism and quality of workmanship. He gave us a detailed quote and description of what he would need to do. (He tore out an old shower and replaced the shower pan and valve.) He completed everything as he said he would and it cost less than he had quoted. He gave me updates as he worked and explained what he was doing. He was very thorough in answering all questions. He obviously knows his trade well and enjoys it. He possesses an integrity and uprightness which can be rare these days. I will definitely call him for any future plumbing needs.

Chris was great! He made a courtesy call to let me know he was on his way and showed up on time. He explained what was needed, gave me a quote beforehand and answered all of my questions. He quickly finished the work for a VERY reasonable price and made sure I understood the bill. He cleaned up his work area upon completion. Cannot say enough good things about him!!!!!!!

When we decided to get our basement finished, we called C&A Johnson to handle the plumbing work. This was a large and complex job that involved installing an ejector pump, installing several new water lines, relocating existing water lines and gas lines, cutting concrete to install drain lines, and installing a Rinnai tankless hot water heater. My wife and I could not be more pleased with the end results. The project took about a week, and each day Chris called in the morning to let us know he was on his way over, arrived on time, and worked dilligently to get the project finished. He also took time each day to explain what work would be going on and how the work fit into the overall project. Everything was completed on schedule and passed county inspection on the first try. Chris is the most professional service person I've worked with, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of plumbing services.

Chris came by to fix a leaky sink and was super nice and professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told us exactly what he would be doing before he did anything. I would highly recommend him!

Chris came over on a Sunday. He was able to squeeze me in as it was unscheduled. My water heater was leaking from the relief valve. He diagnosed the problem promptly, explaines step by step what he was doing, and offered up advice and how to avoid the problem in the future. He also, winterized my outdoor water line to avoid any future problems with that. Another great job!

I read the reviews about Chris before I called him out to my home. I had a water line break over the weekend with quite a bit of damage. I did not know what happened and Chris came out, found the problem and explained everything to me before he fixed it. He even showed me what he did after he fixed it. I really appreciated this as a lot of contractors of any type will fix things and not explain anything to you. He is very professional and very informative. He also is a pretty nice guy. I was very comfortable having him in my home to complete the repairs. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a plumber.

When my water heater started leaking, I knew immediately who I would call. I have used C&A Johnson Plumbing on several occasions in the past and I will continue to use them in the future. I'm always happy with the service and the price.

After 2 days of my husband trying to fix the problem, it only took Chris 45 minutes. Chris was prompt for the appointment and was reasonable in assessing the problem and the amount charged. I would definitely recommend him again.

We like a good product and good service. We got both from Chris when he replaced our water heater. Good service and competent craftsmen seem to be very rare these days; howerve, Chris is the exception. He brought us up to code when installing our water heater which is something 2 previous plumbers did not do. We recommend Chris for all your plumbing services.
