Why is it only people who have negative statements post? We love Cafe Lily and eat there almost every Saturday night. Never a problem with the food, wait staff, or getting a reservation for 6:30 if we call earlier in the day. We have tried almost every dish on the menu and have never complained about the food or the price. And one of us is a very, very respectable cook among friends and family. Had lunch there today for the first time with five other people. How does a restaturant in these days and times have a policy of not splitting checks? When I asked our server why they have that policy he said it was because the management did not want them to take the time to split checks. He was somewhat defensive when he said, "Hey, I don't make the rules. He did admit that it was a policy that he did not agree with and I told him to pass my comments on to the owners. They did have a POS system that should solve this problem put according to our server, who could not tell me the name of their POS system, it was not possible. This is a symtom of a owner/manager that does not put the customer first. "Those customers are really a pain and make our job more difficult." As for the food, my mussels possolibo were good--would have be better if they were hot, not just warm. The salads (all) were not chilled. Service was perfunctory at most, and not customer-oriented. There was no sign of management in the restaurant for our entire meal.

Disappointment is the one word that sums up my experience. Despite the hope that I had for an enjoyable vegan and gluten free meal, I was nevertheless utterly disappointed. I found that neither dietary restriction was accommodated on the menu. My only option was to request an off-menu creation [that was absurdly overpriced]. Well I wish I had just stayed home and made my own meal.

Heads up my hungry friends. After a trip to C L and a little encounter with the lamb, I am under doctor's care and taking six different meds for food poisoning--for two more weeks. A very very bad case indeed. I wouldn't write such a review if I weren't absolutely certain this is where I got it. I am certain. Stay away--far far away. Nothing would ever convince me to return to this restaurent--not unless I was tired of living and was ready to vomit myself to death. After one meal there, I lost 15 lbs in two days. I am extremely ill and owe it all to Cafe Lily. I would sue them if I could.

I'd eaten here in the past a few times and enjoyed the food. My last visit was quite disappointing and worth mentioning. My husband had called ahead to make reservations and was told that we could probably get a table inside if we got there within an hour, but would have to sit outside if later. We said okay and got there within an hour. The place was not at all full and since it was a little windy and cool we asked if we could sit inside with our 18 month old daughter. The hostess went to check with the manager and came to tell us he refused. A little disappointing but we thought we'd stay anyway and asked for a high chair. We were told they had none. At that point we decided to leave (politely) because a child our age cannot sit in the outside metal chairs. The hostess shrugged okay :-( so we walked out where we saw a friend across the street. We walked to the corner (inside the Cafe Lily lot) to chat with her, whereupon the hostess comes out to tell us to move our car out of their lot! Really???!!! Nobody was even waiting for a spot!!! We had acted very pleasant with them and were quite disappointed about customer service. Maybe they get enough business without trying too hard to get or keep customers. Oh well.... don't know if it was that we had a young child, were the "wrong" color, or had the wrong image when we showed up, but I know customers usually get better treatment in most other businesses in the area and Atlanta.

Delicious, high quality food; great friendly service; consistent menu (your favorite selections will always be there and taste as great as the last time you ordered them). Miguel the manager makes sure you are well taken care of. Chef Anthony is amazing and continues to invent fantastic specials. Very low turnover of staff which is indicative of a great business.

The food is great at the Cafe Lily - few restaurants do it any better. I did think the prices were little high, expecially for the drinks, but overall it was worth it.

We've been going to this restaurant since it opened and have always enjoyed it immensely. Food is great, staff is professional, and the ambience is fantastic.

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience here. She had the Risotto Con Cappesante ($19.95) which consisted of scallops on top of risotto with a rich white cream sauce. It was fantastic! The scallops were large and filling and the dish had a wonderful presentation. I had the Bife Acebollado, ($25) which was a ribeye steak with rich tomato sauce served with seasoned mashed potatoes. This steak was cooked perfectly, and the taste was amazing. Definitely try their homemade tiramisu ($5.95), so rich and creamy, great for anyone who enjoys espresso/coffee. We split a small Caesar salad ($4.95) which was pretty good. My wife ordered a Mai-Tini ($8) and loved it. I had a glass of red wine (Sycamore Lane Merlot $7.50) to pair with my steak. The only problem we had was locating parking since the lot in front of the restaurant is pretty small. There is a large parking lot further down the side street on which the restaurant is located that is open evenings and weekends. We called ahead for 9:00pm dining; we did not need reservations, but I think normally you may need them. We definitely will be going back.

Cafe Lily has been a favorite of mine since it opened. The place is family run - the quality of ingredients and preparation details make for a consistently great experience. My favorite dish is the lamb Pinchitos. The wine list has variety, quality and value, with a special zinfandel section.

I had the lamb, he had the quail breast special and we shared the fig appetizer. I didn't care much for the latter two, but the lamb was PERFECT. Also, the cheapest wine they have is $9 a glass! Make sure you make a reservation because you get bad service if you don't and the hostess will be snooty to you. (that's what my friend said, anyway)

After waiting an ungodly amount of time for overpriced food, complying with the "no separate checks" rule and STILL having the server overcharge someone in our party by a ridiculous amount after we paid about 80 percent of the bill in cash, I don't believe I'll be dining here ever again. Kudos to the manager for straightening out the billing issues, but this is the type of service one would expect at McDonald's rather than an establishment with $15+ entrees. If you have a fairly large dinner party, not only will you not be seated until the majority of the party shows up...despite a completely empty table reserved for you...sitting there..wide open...it's possible you'll also get ripped off by nearly $100. I'd look elsewhere for those "special occasion" dinners.

Cafe Lily is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I have been there a couple of times and their food and service is fantastic. The place has great atmosphere, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is out of this world. Try the lemon custard desert. It's a perfect end to a great evening at Cafe Lily.
