Caldwell was recommended to us. We were selling our home and had a large tree near our home and within the stream buffer that was not putting out many leaves last Spring. We had Kevin come out to inspect the tree. He said it was just delayed and because it was alive and in the stream buffer the city would not allow it to be removed. He charged us $300 for a letter to show potential buyers. Caldwell explained that the letter cost $300 because Kevin is a certified arborist. Shortly after that had a family interested in our home, but were concerned about the tree. Amazingly just three weeks after writing the letter, Kevin came out and said the tree had beetles and needed to come down. I just wonder why as a trained and certified arborist he couldn't tell there were beetles just three weeks prior. We had the tree removed by Boutte tree who was awesome.

These guys were terrific. Crew of 4 , led by Terry, arrived early in the morning, And were very particular about the surrounding envrionment , including prep- work, and clean-up. They are most sensitive to the health of the tress and are experts in understanding how to shape and prune each of these trees based on their structural composition. I have used Caldwell for several years and have always had a very good experience. They are not the least expensive, but price is but one element of true cost.

Caldwell Tree Care did a phenomenal job in pruning the trees on and around our property during the past three days. I primarily dealt with Mike who supervised and also actually performed much of the pruning and dead limb removal. He and his crew are to be commended for their outstanding performance and especially with their patience while waiting to get many of our senior residents to relocate their vehicles. These guys were a true joy to work with.

The owners of the company unknowingly left some personal notes at my home describing ways to manipulate customers into signing contracts. This seems extremely unethical. We later found out that they hired sex offenders which had me in a panic as i have teenage daughters. Please be careful who you let work near/in your home. You can never be to careful.

Dear "Katewinscancer", although your accusations are false, we are shocked and appalled at the very thought of the impact of your slanderous remarks. As an accredited tree company through the Tree Care Industry Association for almost ten years and a member since 1997, we voluntarily subject our company and employees to industry standards and best practices which includes annual auditing, ANSI and OSHA training. Additionally, unlike most in the unregulated industry of tree care, our employees are all E-verified, background checked, random drug tested, benefited, full-time, W2, tax-paying employees of Caldwell Tree Care with an average tenure of 15 years. No one employed by Caldwell Tree Care is a sex offender nor do they have a criminal history. Further, you reference the "owners" leaving personal notes at your home, which is not policy or procedure for us. There has only been one owner of Caldwell Tree Care since the licensing of the business in 1997 (never multiple owners) and we only go to scheduled appointments which are set by our potential customers. We encourage you to share the literature that was left at your home with us and contact us to further discuss your accusations. Otherwise, if we do not hear from you, we, as should everyone else who reads this, will discount the review as an attempt by a competitor to discredit a licensed, insured, accredited and reputable tree company.
I have a black walnut right in front of my 2 story house off Waters in Alpharetta that the site guys had the carcass sold for $3000 during construction. I was able to keep them from destroying the tree but not before it incurred significant damage. In 2007 I contacted Caldwell to start a program of deep root fertilization in an effort to see if the tree could be saved. A year ago I was contacted by my management company saying they were soliciting bids to remove the tree because it was dead. Due to frequent deployments it had been some time since I had Caldwell check on the walnut. Jim went out and gave me a very comprehensive review of the tree's condition. When I pulled in the drive the last week of June the tree was anything but dead and beautiful. It needed pruning as well as several other large trees that GA Pwr butchered. I met Jerome and his crew equipped with two new trucks and chippers. First impressions count and this is an owner who believes in quality equipment. They were called away on an emergency, to which I wholeheartedly agreed. The next morning I arrived at the house to find the walnut beautifully pruned and walked around back to see Jerome artfully poised high in one of the oaks. Having done some climbing with the Rangers, I observed his superb climbing techniques and maneuvering through the top of the tree while skillfully lopping and sawing his way through. Caldwell provides great value while staffing a professional, courteous and helpful team.

I have used Caldwell for years, having followed my arborist from his previous company, and am always pleased with their work. Their employees are highly skilled, they leave my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived, and they do beautiful work. Their office is responsive and during the past ice storm, I had a large, dangerous branch secured within hours of my call. Quality tree care is not cheap - you get what you pay for - and Caldwell's craftsmanship is worth the investment.

I contacted Caldwell Tree Care in 2013 about removing tress and helping me with my lawn. Kevin Caldwell, the owner of Caldwell Tree Care, came to my house to walk the property and give me an estimate. My yard is about an acre and has some very large trees and a natural watershed that is protected by the City of Roswell. Kevin gave me great advice about the trees that needed attention and how I should prioritize the project. The quote was fair due to the size of the trees and the amount of work that needed to be done. I saved money for over a year and then had Mr. Caldwell back out to look at my yard. We agreed upon the work that he could do for my budget. I was amazed when I saw the finished project. The Caldwell team did everything we had agreed upon and even more than I expected! They worked in my yard for 2 full days. It was about getting the work done, not watching the clock. I never asked them to do more, they just did what needed to be done. I was busy and really didn't have time to keep an eye on the crew. They gave me an early Christmas gift in the form of a very shaped up yard and a good value for my money. Also they have the equipment to do big jobs, remove large trees, a certified arborist on staff, good insurance and a great reputation among Landscape Architect professionals. I cannot say enough good things about how well I was treated and how happy I am with the end result.

Caldwell has done several jobs for us from trimming trees to prescriptions for trees impacted by construction to removal of trees ranging in size from 12"dia to 30"dia. They understand the City arborists requirements and work within those while still getting the job done. Kevin knows trees and will not recommend more work than necessary. Caldwell Tree Care crews are professional, on time, and do a great job. They are not the least expensive, but I think they are the best value.

We are not aware that we cracked a driveway. We would be happy to discuss this further with you if you would please contact our office.
I have used Caldwell Tree Care for 3 years now and am pleased with their professionalism and expertise. Kevin, the arborist, is knowledgeable and precise. He identified dangerous trees in a heavily wooded area that needed to be removed from those that could safely remain. His care and concern for my and my neighbor's homes was obvious and appreciated! Unlike other companies I have worked with, I have found that Caldwell always returns calls in a timely manner, communicates clearly and honestly with me about all expectations and costs, and is open to my ideas and suggestions for future planning and development of our landscaping. Any changes to work plans were always discussed and agreed upon before proceeding, and the end cost always accurately reflected the estimate for work agreed upon. Their knowledge and abilities make the investment worth it! In the end, my property was always left neat and clean when they were finished, even blowing my driveway and pool deck each day before returning the next.

I've used Caldwell Tree Care for 17-18 years now and they have never disappointed. From simple plantings to delicate pruning (my favorite Japanese maple) to some very difficult tree removals, Kevin and his team have always done a great job. These guys are super knowledgeable and very reliable.

The Caldwell team were on time, efficient, and by the time they left our house, not only were our trees pruned beautifully, there wasn't any evidence on the driveway or yard that they had ever been on the property. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to neighbors.
