Canine Ph.D. Dog Training

Meredith's training techniques were the only techniques that worked with my reactive dog and I tried EVERYTHING-other trainers, books, videos, etc. etc. Nothing made a dent in my dog's fearful behavior. My dog is afraid of people, other dogs and is territorial which is quite an anxious combination. Meredith taught me essential skills to reduce my dog's anxiety and help her go on walks, deal with noises and check in with me when strangers were close by. I am so impressed by the improvement I saw in a few short months. I can't thank Meredith enough and I look forward to taking her next Reactive Dog class.

Meredith and Stacey are truly among the best when it comes to training pooches: positive, brilliant, caring and patient to the max. Both are superbe teachers of their craft. They are passionate about what they do. They demonstrate a thorough knowledge of canine behavior. Meredith has taught me SO much about handling an incredibly challenging dogand another dog with separation issues also.

When I adopted the cutest puppy in the world 2 years ago, I had no idea I was in for one of THE challenges of my life(and I have had many dogs throuout my life): a dog and car/truck reactive dog. Both in private sessions and classes (Reactive), Meredith has taught positive and scientifically based techniques which I have then applied. Along with Meredith, these techniques are the glue that has kept my dog with me and still working towards our goal of no reactivitynot through any "quick fix" but rather through the slow work of changing my dog's perception of what is going on around him and teaching him how to "settle" some in the face of his "triggers". We are now to a place where when cars and small trucks go by, "leave-it" turns his attention away from the car and onto me plus treat. This is huge progress for us and as a result I am enjoying walks with my dog.

My other, more recently adopted GSD mix dog is enjoying Agility classes with Staceythe most amazing Agility instructor ever! Stacey REALLY knows and has a gift for teaching this sport.

We hired Canine PhD to help with our dogs excessive barking. After just 2 visits the barking had lessened substantially and we couldn't believe how well they were responding to us! We haven't had to use our 3rd session yet because they have been awesome!

Canine PhD is the only dog training facility we have found who truly understands animal behavior and how to successfully train shy/fearful dogs. The environment is positive, friendly, and fun. Trainers Meredith and Stacey have taught my husband and I so much and have helped us build confidence in our fearful dog (she is a rescue). To say that the training at Canine PhD has been successful is an understatement.

Meredith's focus is not just on the dogs, but also educating the owners on how to properly understand their dog's actions and what you can do to reinforce positive behavior.
This way you can continue the training everyday.
The reactive dog class has been wonderful and I no longer have the worst dog in the world :)
