We have been very pleased with the training and education programs we are attending with Meredith. She has a strong but gentle approach focusing on the unique needs of each dog. Our Schnauzer was adopted after living on the streets, and he had developed several bad habits that we needed to correct. We have not yet required an individual session since Canine Ph.D. classes are small enough to provide what each individual dog requires. We adhere to the progression of classes offered, and we have been delighted with his response to Meredith’s training and our new family member. I would strongly recommend Meredith Minkin and her dog training programs to any dog owner without hesitation.

Having a new puppy is very hard work, but thanks to "Manners 101" and "Play and Obey" my 6 month boxer puppy is well behaved and I haven't pulled my hair out! Meredith was extremely patient (even more with me than the pup) and shared invaluable information each and every session. Each class is structured and well-organized with plenty of focused attention on each dog/owner. Best of all, my dog had a great time, learned something new and was tuckered out by the end of each class! What could be better?!?!?! I highly recommend Canine Ph.D. Dog Training and am looking forward to trying out the agility class.

We have two new puppies, with very different temperaments, and while no serious issues we wanted to start our training off on the right foot. Meredith was great with both the dogs. Gave us great tips and pointers we would not have otherwise known. Besides helping the pups, it helped both us humans be better prepared to handle the tougher problems everyone has with raising new puppies. We have already signed up for her Dog Manners 101 class as well given our great experience with her.

Meredith Minkin of Canine Ph.D is wonderful! We recently finished her Flyball class with our chocolate lab, Abby, and we all had a blast. Abby really enjoyed the class and was completing the whole series of moves by the end of the 8 week session, which is a huge accomplishment. We are also currently doing private lessons with our other chocolate lab, Lucky. She is a recent rescue with severe socialization issues and terrible fear anxiety. Meredith is extremely patient with Lucky and has helped us make progress with her in just a few weeks. She has a long road to recovery, but we are moving in the right direction thanks to Meredith's training. If you are looking for a trainer, you need to call Meredith. She truly understands dogs and their behavior. She uses positive reinforcement methods, and she can handle any training need. She is great with basic training (like puppy classes, basic manners and obedience, etc.) or more complex training needs (aggression issues, socialization problems, etc.). I really cannot recommend Meredith highly enough!

She is the Dog Whisper of the South. Forget the guy on some TLC show Meridith needs her own.Our beloved rescue had problems at doggie daycare. Sadie was a bully with small dogs. She just finished manners 101 with certificate in paw. Loves all dogs and is not dominant like she was. We are now ready to tackle agility with Meredith. Trust us. We have had dogs for over 30 years. She is great

I met Meredith several years ago while attending a basic manners class. A few years later, and I've been in several of her classes and taken private lessons with her. She's helped me with several of my dog's and has experience with a variety of breeds. What makes Meredith special is her passion for the well being of dogs. I feel she's in this industry to help dogs and their owners better themselves. I'm grateful to have found Meredith, and would recommend her to anyone.

Meredith has such an innate ability to relate to dogs that she makes training a breeze. Her easy to understand instructions are clear and low pressure, she makes you feel like you CAN train your dog to do what he/she is supposed to do. We were able to not only get our lab Charlie to follow commands, but also were able to successfully complete the Canine Good Citizen test thanks to Meredith's classes. Thank you Canine Ph.D. for helping us love our dogs better!

I've worked for several years with dogs and my dog works along side me.I thought I really knew dogs , especially mine. Meredith has an amazing ability with animals. I have never seen anyone able to read a dog better . Meredith was very patient and flexible making me feel as if my dog and I were the only ones in the class . She not only help me solve problem behavior I have been working on for years , she was able to teach me an encyclopedia of knowledge not only on my dog but dogs in general . Most importantly she made training fun. Brandyn, The Doggie Nanny Pet sitting

Meredith has done amazing things with our 2 dogs. Our mini-doxie was a wild man; he went from nipping strangers shins and wearing a muzzle to the vet to an obedient, sweet, calm, tail-wagging people-friendly little guy that everyone loves! Our boston terrier/min pin mix was the most fearful, neurotic dog we had ever seen. She was super protective, aggressive with strangers (sometimes even with us & our doxie) and out of control. My husband and I were at our wits end, but she has really made a total change for the better since Meredith trained her AND us. We really learned how to work with her and understand what was going on in her mind and what to look out for. She seems like a different dog - she listens, is learning to be less fearful & aggressive and successfully went on a hike that Meredith organizes with clients (Our little lady was calm, confident and completely ignored the other dogs & people there - made me cry!). I can't say enough good things about the work Meredith does; she really understands dogs (and they love her) and she totally commits to making their lives (and yours) better! Highly recommended!

Meredith is patient, professional, and above all good at what she does. As the owner of 2 large dogs she has handled the 3 of us marvelously during our private sessions. I couldn't ask for anyone better to lead us into a happier household. Look no further if you want results.

I have taken multiple private lessons for aggression and have started agility training all with Meredith. She really helped me with my dogs fear aggression and suggested many helpful changes that I could do rather than turning to medication. She seems to have very good rapport with all dogs and I really like the way she dealt with mine. She (my dog) doesn't take to everyone, but she came to like Meredith.

When I called Meredith, my husband and I had experienced 4 traumatic dog fights with our dogs. I was so stressed in my own home I couldn't even relax for worrying when the next fight was going to break out. I was desperate for someone to help us and I saw great reviews for Meredith so I have her a call. I could tell when I talked with her that she was a true dog lover because she worked her schedule around to see us right away. She understood the urgency of the situation. I was already impressed because she truly cared enough to make sure she was able to help us as quickly as possible. Once she got there and observed our 4 dogs, it was truly amazing what she had observed and the suggestions she had. Without going into too much detail, we have one dog with fear aggression. She went through what she thought the problems were, she offered goals that were attainable and told us how to accomplish the goals. The one with fear aggression has calmed down a great deal and there has not been an fight since. We were very pleased and highly recommend her.

There were about six dogs in the class and we received useful, individual attention from Meredith for each of the 6 Saturday mornings. Some of the dogs underwent profound changes in their socialization skills which was helped by the simple, positive techniques shared by Meredith. Basic Manners 101 is highly recommended.

Meredith is an angel in disguise! I am so glad we crossed paths when we did because I was at the end of my rope with our rowdy household of pups. She worked with us as long as we needed and taught us so much! She is always available for additional guidance and refresher courses. We now have people complimenting our dogs an their behavior. They are the best trained dogs in our town! :) I recommend her to all of my pet sitting clients and friends. You can't go wrong with Canine Ph.D.
