Indoor Air Quality
Our house was 100 degrees inside because our air conditioning broke in the Phoenix summer. We have a home warranty company but because they couldn't get anyone to us right away they allowed us to call an "out of network" contractor. We chose Canyon State after the positive reviews. When I call I explained that we could pay up front costs and seek reimbursement from the warranty company later BUT the technician would need to speak with our warranty company to have the repairs authorized. They said "ok" The technician arrived and it was suddenly a different story. The technician was there to collect his service fee but refused to talk to the warranty company. The technician left us with a non working air conditioning and a 100 degree house because they refused to get authorization from our warranty company. So disappointed with Canyon State and clearly they don't care about ac repair at all...just collecting a service fee

Thank you for providing your feedback.
Here at Canyon State Air Conditioning, Heating, and Plumbing we strive to provide exceptional customer service and our technicians are truly some of the best in this field. It is our apology that you do not feel that you experienced this.
Of our own discretion, we do not work with home warranty companies. It is also our apology that this was not made clear to you when you called our office.
Our technician did arrive to your home more than 30 minutes ahead of schedule and completed the diagnosis in a timely and thorough manner. When he was asked to wait an additional 30-45 minutes for you to speak to a representative from your home warranty company, that was just not feasible. We pride ourselves on expeditiously and effectively servicing our customer's needs, but could not do this if we had to wait on phone calls to be made at each job. This is just one of the many reasons we do not work with home warranty companies. Your frustration with the warranty company's inability to handle your emergency situation seems to have been taken out on us.
We chose not to charge you any fees, gave you the diagnosis of your unit at no cost, and offered for you to call us to reschedule the repair once you received approval from your warranty company. We have yet to receive a callback.
We work very hard to keep our customers satisfied and happy, our prior reviews as well as our future reviews are a testament to this. We will continue this stellar level of service, and as always we appreciate your patronage.
Last Thursday at around 4:30pm when my wife got home she realized our upstairs AC wasn't blowing cold air. We discussed for a moment waiting till I got home to take a look at it (since I do many of our home repairs myself) but quickly concluded that we should get a technician out to our house ASAP or we'd likely need to wait till the next morning. My wife called Canyon State a few minutes after I got off of the phone with her (maybe 4:45pm) and was pleased to learn that a technician would be out to our house (we live in Surprise) between 5 and 7 pm. Astonishingly, the technician (Jake) knocked on the door shortly after 5pm! He quickly determined that the problem was with the outdoor unit corresponding with the upstairs AC (a motor had failed, and the unit was evidently SUPER hot) We approved the replacement for that motor, and by 6:10pm I was paying the bill for the completed repair (using a slick iPad app - which wasn't really a factor, but was cool to see how they were using modern technology to make transactions easier). We had a cool upstairs by bedtime, and I couldn't be happier with how everything went. If anything breaks again, I'll definitely be calling Canyon State (saved them to my phone as a contact :) -Eric

We bought our unit through Canyon State 4 years ago and referred others b/c of their quality and integrity. We allowed our service contract to expire and considered another company to service our unit but b/c of the exemplary service we received from Todd (this year) on 2 different service calls, we decided to stay with Canyon State.

Our air conditioner went out and we have been away from our house for a week. We have had several a/c guys out to our house in the last few monthes to try and fix the problems we had been having...but the unit just kept failing. Finally we called Canyon State A/C and Mark Farmer came out and diagnosed the problem right away. He was very professional, knowledgeable and curteous. We will definately be using this company in the future.

This company is wonderful. Every employee that I have spoken with is always helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to help you. The Tech Mike P is absolutely wonderful. What a great job he does. He represents his company very well. I wish I would have known about Canyon state 6 years ago. I am a life time customer.

Mike P. just left my home after doing a one year check-up on my new A/C unit- that reminded me that I had not taken the opportunity to publicly praise their work. They deserve praise, and are a great outfit to deal with. I reccommend them to all. Ken S. Surprise, AZ

My Grandma's AC went out in Phoenix this past summer and Canyon State had a technician come out the same day. He repaired a part that he thankfully carried with him on his truck. The technician Gabe was very friendly and took care of the situation quickly. He had her old AC working again in no time. If anything happens to our home AC, we will definitely be calling Canyon State to come help again.

I felt inclined to write a review based on my experience with Canyon State. I had a problem with my thermostat, and heard about them thru a friend. They got out to my house the same day, and was very fair about price. I feel I would trust them with any job big or small.

Has never worked properly From Day one, A dozen service calls Still does not work . Spent another $200 on replacing the expansion valve. They were back today and now want to replace the evaporator coil. We have been sitting in 100 plus heat for 5 days now. I guess when they throw enough parts at it,They might get it to make cold air in the summer and heat in the winter.

Let me ask something...why does the A/C always go out on the weekend late in the afternoon? I don't know either. Now let me tell you something...The guys from Canyon State Air Conditioning have done a superb job keeping our unit running. A week ago Todd came out, in the dark, after a very very busy day and replaced a condenser fan motor when no other company I called could help us. Today Chris came out to check why the unit was not wanting to work. He diagnosed the problem and had things running in short order. We need one more return visit from him to ensure we get thru the summer. I feel I've found a company that will give us a fair shake and that deserves my business. I give Canyon State Air Conditining, Chris and Todd all a 100% satisfation rating. Thanks to all!

Recently had major problems with another AZ a/c company who refused to provide proper service. I talked to a tech at 8:30pm on a Tuesday night. 7:45 the next morning they called and had somebody at my house before 8:30am. The technician was thorough and well qualified. A/C has been working great since. Canyon State will be my first and only call from now on.
