I bought a watch from them last December. I was told Amex was the preferred payment and I followed all their directions. I got the watch on time. Price as advertised plus $45 shipping paid via... Amex. Last week, I wanted to get another watch. Reading on their page, where they state they are open to negotiate and they accept (and are very careful with) credit card orders; they offered $100 off and free shipping. Once all was ready, I requested the documents to be signed and they told me they would charge 4% for using a credit card. I declined the purchase. Next day we were able to negotiate. Jonathan was helpful and stood by the agreement. So, check price and payment method in advance. They are open to talk.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I went to Capetown and bought 18k earrings, a humidor, and a beautiful rolex watch. The service was terrific. They fitted the watch perfectly to my small wrist, and even got me a wonderful dial that... was easy to read. I will continue to do business with this store.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I have been dealing with the Marcus family for over 20 years. I have bought at least 30 items from them, and never had a problem. They are honest, trustworthy, and they are wonderful people to work with. If you go anywhere else, you are a fool.
I had been looking for a new watch for awhile and decided on a Rolex. After speaking to several retail stores and saw there was zero room for negotiation, I was referred to Capetown and worked with Jan and the owner Jonathan. They provided me with the exact watch I wanted for a great price. Never was I pressured to buy anything and they were very willing to help and answer all my questions. I would recommend them to a friend or family member for a watch or jewelry purchase
I researched for about a year before I bought my wife's first Rolex. I chose Capetown Diamond because of their Lifetime Warranty, Years in business, Great prices, and Reviews on the Rolex forum. Sean, Jonathan, and everyone at Capetown helped to create my wife's vision of the perfect full-size Rolex "Two-Tone" Presidents watch. When the watch arrived not only did it look brand new, but she cried and couldn't believe that it was prettier than she ever imagined. Every attention to detail was present from the more white hue mother-of-pearl dial to the white gold hands-insignia-day/date housings-diamond settings-crown-white day/date wheels, and the white gold diamond bezel. It took a little time to get, but they had gotten it all correct on this highly customized watch! And it was well worth waiting for....I don't believe I will buy a watch from anyone else again. And when I send my wife's watch in for service in four years, I will include my Omega Seamaster as well...Very Happy from Austin, Texas.
This place has the Best Prices and y $2000 is a tremendous amountm of money to me but I was treated like I was an annoyance. But with the deal I got it was ok.
As per our phone conversation several weeks ago: On 7/8/11 I purchased a Vacheron and Constantin Overseas Chrono from Capetown Model 49140-423 White Dial - described as "Mint" condition. On 07/11/11 it was shipped to me and on 07/12/11 I brought this watch in to an authorized Vacheron Dealer here in Chicago for inspection and authentication. Upon inspection, several external defects/damages were noted and a full service and inspection internally was recommended. I subsequently had the dealer send the watch into Vacheron's U.S service center. Their inspection - adjectives and descriptors like "movement dry, Dial spotted and stained, hands damaged, case scratched, metal bracelet scratched, and link screws damaged, dent on 4 hour pusher, etc." are a clear indication directly from the Vacheron experts, that this watch is far from "mint" condition as was described online, of which I have a print out. As a collector of fine timepieces and coins there are very well established definitions of what "mint condition" represents: ***The term "mint" as an adjective was coined initially by numismatists to indicate that a coin looked as if it had just been minted. Unlike terms such as "good" or "excellent" which could mean different things to different people, "mint" has a very precise meaning. An object described as in "MINT CONDITION" means, literally, that the item looks as if it just cam
I just purchased a new Rolex on line from Capetown- They are reliable and truely represent great value- They also have a large inventory and their web site is very user friendly and a fun place to shop
A good friend recommended me to Capetown I was in need of having a classic Patek repaird and cleaned, He is now a Great Friend for introducing me toCapetown Diamond Corp. What a great company The way they handled my watch it was as though my Patek was the only item they were working on and they kept me informend right through delivering my watch back to me And the Rolex Sumaminer SS I purchased very very plesased What a Great Company outstanding service and integerity far and beyond and top retailer that stil exist today Thank You Capetown
I have sent three e-mail inquiries in relation to one product over a 4-week period and still have not received a reply! Shocking customer service! Good luck with managing your overflow of customers - you obviously do not need any more!
I have been a customer of Capetown for over 20 years. In that time I have purchased in excess of 40 luxury watches from them. I have always found their service and quality to be excellent. I would recommend them with 100% confidence.
I am very happy with my latest Rolex purchase from Capetown Diamond. Over the last 3 years I have purchased over 7 watches from Jonathan at Capetown including 3 Rolex's, and other brands like Cartier and Panerai. I have also purchased a beautiful custom strand of black pearls that they made for my wife as well as other jewelry items. They have always treated me very well and the service has been second to none. As a avid watch collector, I have bought watches from many local jewelry stores including the super highend watch boutique at Lenox. The service I have gotten at Capetown is far more personal and stress free. I have also had a couple of watches seviced by Capetown and have not had any problems from any of them. If you are looking for the New York Boutique experience, with higher prices, impersonal staff and feeling high pressure to buy due to mall traffic, Capetown will not be for you. Kudos to Jonathan and the rest of his staff at Capetown for making my latest purchase as good as all the rest. For great selection and reasonalble prices, these folks are the best.
I took my Omega here for a pusher replacement and servicing. All the functions worked properly on the watch when I left it with them. After spending ~$1000 I received my watch back with a non functioning chronograph complication. To their credit they took the watch back and corrected this problem promptly. Unfortunately the repair of the pusher did not stick and the pusher fail off and was lost the fourth time I wore the watch after the “repair”. They would not honor the warranty on replacing the pusher saying I must have caused the pusher to fall off somehow. On my first visit to their shop, dealing with my current Omega that needed service and repair, I told them I was also looking for a new speedmaster. I was surprised that they weren’t interested in helping me with this and were very short with me for the rest of that first visit and subsequent visits. I never brought the topic up again in later visits when dealing with the repair and I eventually bought my new speedmaster from a different retailer. Also note that their repair shop is off site in California.
I was in the market for my first Rolex and found these guys on the web. When I found out they were local, I decided to visit. (On a side note, make sure to call for an appointment) The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I learned a lot about watches and their care. In the end, I walked out of there with a tremendous deal on a great watch. I will certainly go back to pick up my engagement ring when the time comes.
Knowledgeable staff, expansive inventory (see: www.capetowndiamond.com) and low-key friendly style set this jeweler apart from the others. Shop the internet or make an appointment to preview your item at their headquarters in Roswell . They not only stock and service the very top names in watches they also have and purchase the most beautiful new and estate jewelry and rare items. What they don't have they can quickly order from their affiliates. I’ve purchased secondhand watches twice from them enjoying huge savings. Both were indistinguishable from new and worked perfectly. I deal with Capetown Diamond because of their trade-in and warranty policies which, IMHO, are more than reasonable. No one does business on-line for as long as they’ve been around without upsetting someone, but their Local BBB status shows they work hard and thoroughly to resolve the rare problem to the customers ultimate satisfaction. 100’s of customer reviews provided on website. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
