Worst, 5/19/2014

Paid the $149 and had the service scheduled several times. Long story short, he took our money but never stained our deck. Now he refuse our calls and text. The last time I had him on the phone he... hung up on me. Very unprofessional. I can't imagine he'll be in business much longer. Stay away.

Truly the worst customer service experience., 4/29/2013

Had appointments - twice, & both times no one showed up/called. First appt was on Sat at 9am, after I contacted them around 9:15am to say no one showed up, Manuel told me he would get back to me. I... called again at 1pm and he said he was still trying to find someone. He texted me later and asked if the next day (Sunday) at 8:45am was okay and we confirmed it. Sunday 8:45am came and went and no one showed up. We were incredibly upset because we had moved all the furniture, purchased the paint, etc. I can truly say this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Excellent experience

We hired Carlyle Painting to paint two rooms on the main floor of our house- formal living room and family room. They exceeded our expectations in all aspects; the team was professional, detailed, and went above and beyond. Their price was very fair and the quality was outstanding. We will definitely be hiring them again for future work.

Not a good experience

I purchased the $149 deck pressure wash and stain from Kudzu. The pressure wash was scheduled twice and they did not show up. About a month later the pressure wash was done. Another month passed and the stain had not been applied, so I e-mailed Manuel and the stain was finally applied the next week. They had good reviews and I intended to get a quote to paint the entire interior of the house, but I wouldn't consider them for a job now.

Manuel is my new best friend!

Manuel is awesome. He shows up on time and stands behind his work. The stain on my deck wasn't done properly, so he paid for the replacement stain and came the next day and fixed it himself. You won't go wrong doing business with Manuel.

Great experience

I recently hired this company to repaint the exterior of our home and decks. I originally recieved 3 other quotes and decided to use Carlyle Painting. Manuel and his crew were very reasonable and did a great job! If you are in the market for painting services I would consider giving these guys a call.

Great experience and an excellent price!

Great experience. Manuel was always professional, and takes good care of his crews. The painters went out of their way to accommodate painting with animals our patio furniture. Pricing was excellent. Would recommend.

Best job and very professional

Carlyle Painting recently painted our home. We chose them after getting other estimates and I'm so glad we did! Manuel's customer service was outstanding. He followed the job through to the end. In addition, his crew was always there when they said they would be and easy to work with. Thanks Manuel for giving us a new home.

Another No Show for Deck Service

I scheduled a time with this vendor on or about July 11-13 for Monday, July 30, agreed to pay extra fees, called the vendor on Sunday to confirm. Took a vacation day from work, cleaned up the deck, moved the furniture and the vendor was a no show. He did call me on Tuesday to say he was ready to do the work. However, my agreement with him was to complete work on Monday, July 30 not Wednesday or some other day. I would have been happy to work another date with him if he had just called in advance. This is really a poor reflection on Kudzu.com because it was my first purchase since your company purchased the previous deal of the day, I used a $20 credit for my first purchase and all.

I am so sorry nobody showed up at your house nor nobody had the courtesy to call you to reschedule it or to advice you of the cancellation, that is very disrespectful and definitely not acceptable. I had to leave the country last week on a family matter and left my crew scheduled to work and to complete all the appointments, however, they did not show up to several appointments and did not call my clients to reschedule or to cancel their appointments. This is not the way I do business nor do I want to follow that road. Please allow me to make things right and to show you what we are all about. I base my business on a high customer service relationship and value very much their opinions. While I am not able to answer the phone I am doing my best to check my messages and to reply as soon as I am able. Job only half done

I purchased the $149 deal through Kudzu. Talked with Manuel several times, and he was very nice. The scheduling was tricky with so much rain. However, they came out to pressure wash, were scheduled to finally come out on 8/1 to stain the deck. They never showed up and I have left about 8-10 phone messages for them, with no return calls. So right now, I am sitting with an unstained deck and the materials which I purchased to stain the deck. This was my first and last purchase from Kudzu. I even emailed Kudzu for a response/ resolution and have not heard back. Totally disappointed.**UPDATE**: (8/14/12) As of yesterday, the deck is now fully completed and looks absolutely great. Manuel communicated with me that he was out of town and apologized for the lack of communication. As soon as the weather cooperated, he was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

$149 Deck Staining

I purchased this deal over a month ago (6/19) and to date I have had a challenge(7/30) getting the work scheduled and complete. I have spoke to Manual a few times and he seems very nice so I'm not sure if I have been had or if they are just really busy. I hope it is the latter, I will update this review if anything changes. Right now I am giving a middle of the scale rating since the jury is still out at this time. **Update**- spoke with Manuel and the work is scheduled for 8/13..will provide an new update at that time. **Final Update** 8/27 Manuel and his team completed the work and did an excellent job. It took a little longer than planned and Manuel did everything that he could to make me happy and I am very happy and I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!!

$149 Deck Deal

We love our new deck. Manuel was very nice and professional. We thought about delaying the job because of the forecast but Manuel was right - It didn't rain. He even offered his contractor's discount at Sherwin Williams. Our deck looks nice and new. We love it:-)
