Discovered leak near water meter on Saturday night. Cobb Water at house in 20 minutes (good job Cobb!), but issue was a leak in pipe leading from meter to house -- plumber required. Had to shut... off water to house and wait until morning to call a plumber. Casteel website said emergency service was available beginning at 10am on Sunday. Called shortly after 10, explained we were without water, and was told a plumber would call back shortly. No call back. Called again near noon, asked them to please say so if they thought same-day help was looking unlikely so that I could pursue other avenues. They assured me someone would call shortly. Almost 5pm when they did finally call back -- to tell me that they wouldn't be out until "sometime on Wednesday". If they weren't going to be able to help me, they should have said so. If you are without water and don't want to wait several days to get it back, do not call Casteel.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have been dealing with Casteel for the past 9 years. I had a problem with my Trane units and replaced them with Carrier units 8 years ago which were installed and serviced by Casteel. Every year... since these units were installed, I have had one problem after another. On four occasions, the units were serviced one week and one week later, at least one of the units stopped working. I've had a compressor replaced, valves replace, coils replaced, leak detection tests completed, capacitors replaced all in the 8 years I have owned these units sold and serviced by Casteel. In addition, I took the advice of the owner and added a return vent, added insulation, and had duct work sealed and after all of this work, the two units are not sufficient to cool my home and the units continue to fail. After evaluating replacement of the units with different HVAC contractors, I found that Carrier issued a Dealer Service Bulletin for the units and recalled the Bristol compressors which were installed in the units back in 2012 and I was never notified by Casteel that a recall had occurred. Instead, Casteel continued to come to my home and place a band-aid on my units until I have reached this point where both Casteel and the Carrier units have to go. I know this company gets many great solicited reviews but in this unsolicited review I would definitely NOT recommend Casteel for service or installation of any product in my home.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

It was a very good experience working with this company! You never know when you might have a waterline break in your house but if you do they are the people to call. They was at my house in a hour of contacting them and was very nice. We was very pleased and will use them again in the future, even for the heating an cooling.

I have used Casteel for many years. They have replaced both my heating units and recently one of my A/C units. Their service has always been excellent and the service personel above board in all respects. Cannot do enough for you and explain all aspects of the installation. I have an annual service agreement with Casteel as does my daughter at her house.I have recommended Casteel to many friends over the years as they are the best.

I had a complete HVAC system put in to replace my marginal old system. Some finesse was required and Casteel worked with me to get it done as I wanted to go from two systems to one zone controlled system and relocate the outdoor equipment. This saved enough to allow me to get the highest efficiency a/c and heat available from Trane within my budget. With temperatures now in the 90's it is functioning quite well.

The service technician arrived on time and, determined the problem and provided options for my approval. Work was performed in a highly professional manner explaining what he was doing to ease any possible concern I may have had (of which I had none). Highly recommended.

Recently our downstairs AC unit was on the fritz. Casteel worked us into their very, very busy summertime schedule and I'm happy to say we are now very happy "cool" cucumbers again! Thanks Casteel! Sean Gillespie #108842

I'm out of $275 and still no air. I would not recommend them to anyone. Technician didn't show up until 8:40 pm after I had a service window of 2-6pm. He didn't call. I had to call him twice just to make sure he was still coming. I have another repairman coming tomorrow to fix what I already paid Casteel to fix.

If this is truly a customer and not a competitor, I would like to talk to you. Casteel's policy is to "take amazing care of you", and if our technician was unable to fix your problem, we certainly would not charge you for the repair. Additionally, we have one of the very best warranty programs in the industry, and we would have returned at no charge to fix this issue. We have been voted the best HVAC contractor by the Chamber for four years, and that's because we do things the right way. Again, if this is a customer and not a competitor, please call me directly, and I will refund your money (or return and make things right). Respectfully, John Hillis (President)
Our AC went out. After 2 other companies we called Casteel. Ryan came out and was very honest and upfront with us. He'd told us what needed to be done, and how much to do it. It wasn't cheap, but was cheaper than the other two companies. Plus we got rebates w/GA power. Put in a 4 ton heat pump and Var. speed furnace, w/thermostat. Looks and performs amazing! Install crew was very friendly, and spent all day doing it right! Would def. recommend Casteel!

Casteel was recommended to me when our A/C wasn't working. I called to set up an appointment, but was not informed that there was a service call fee of $79. The guy came out, was at my house for all of 15 minutes. He said the motor wasn't working so we needed a new one. He quoted me ~$1300 but suggested we get a new unit because it is 13 years old. After calling another company, he installed a new motor & charged us $520 including the cost of the motor. This price difference is too significant to me to consider using Casteel again.

it is such a relief to finally find a company you can trust. I've used Nate for my service - he is great. Then I had to replace an old unit, met their design sales guy, Ryan - very nice and knowledgeable, then finally the guys that put in the new system, Joe and Eric. Super people. Very professional, courteous,. Everyone I have encountered with Casteel have been super. They are definitely there for their customers - just like the good old days. Thought that was a lost art.

Had my system replaced. Both technicians (Jesus and Heisen) are well qualified, prompt, friendly and great workers. The system was installed an my duct work changed to my requirements. All trash was removed. They also provided instructions on working the new thermostat. I am extremely pleased with the work.

Jesus and Heisein replaced a furnace and evaporator coil. They kept us advised on what they were doing and the progress of the job. They did a top notch job and left the area clean. Highly recommend this company and these men. #102069 Darrell Ingram

I have been a realestate agent for 16 years and I have seen a lot of HVAC systems. Some old, some new and some ready to die. I have used my home inspector, who is very picky and usually finds issues with every HVAC system! I just had Casteel install two new Trane HVAC systems in my own home, so of course, I had my inspector check over the job. He was impressed! He is never impressed. He said they did a fantastic job!! My installers, Michael Frye and Careron were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. They were to best!! Also Lamar Pittman (System Design) took time to answer all my questions and checked back with me during the job and after it was finished! Great experience! Thank you!!!!!

On initially contacting Casteel Heating and Cooling, the experience was an unexpected pleasure. From the courtesies expressed by the receptionist who first took my telephone call to the professionalism displayed by Bobby Loebl is one that very few service companies can make claim to. As part of my decision making process I scheduled seven heating and cooling companies for proposals and during Bobby’s visit there were two other companies present. Although most offered the same choice of equipment and some at a much lower cost, the follow-up, courtesies and professionalism the staff of Casteel Heating & Cooling made the decision an easier one to make. The installation team of Jeff Dempsey and Jason Rice were great. They kept us informed during the entire process and took the time to review programming and owner maintenance. Max Bayard #0101375

Great job today ripping out the old duct work and replacing with new duct work. Best part about this was they only replaced what needed to be replaced, they were able to reuse some components saving money. Other companies would have taken full advantage of the situation. Jesus, Hilario, Heisen did a great job today getting the job done, extremely professional and truly cared about the work that they did. They were there to answer any questions and cleaned the area better than it was when they got there. Thank you all!!!!! Great experience Penn Maness 101224
