UPDATE 07/19/2016: I just spoke with a customer service representative who reached out to me regarding the job and they addressed my concerns in such a friendly and professional manner. They are sending out a technician to switch out the plates to make it the solitary color that I was looking for. Hands down BEST customer service I have ever dealt with. I have no problem recommending a company as theirs with such great follow up when a customer is not 100% happy about the work. Kudos to them! Original review: I had Casteel come out to install 4 GFCI outlets in a vacant rental home that I have listed for sale. I am disappointed to discover especially at the price I paid that the receptacles and face plates used were not the same color (pictures included). This seems slightly odd to me that the pieces installed would not be a singular color. This was not communicated to me when the technician called to give me the pricing before doing the work nor did it dawn on me to specify to him that I would want it in one color. I can't say that this first experience with Casteel has left me fully satisfied with their services and am unsure that I would use them in the future.

Discovered leak near water meter on Saturday night. Cobb Water at house in 20 minutes (good job Cobb!), but issue was a leak in pipe leading from meter to house -- plumber required. Had to shut off water to house and wait until morning to call a plumber. Casteel website said emergency service was available beginning at 10am on Sunday. Called shortly after 10, explained we were without water, and was told a plumber would call back shortly. No call back. Called again near noon, asked them to please say so if they thought same-day help was looking unlikely so that I could pursue other avenues. They assured me someone would call shortly. Almost 5pm when they did finally call back -- to tell me that they wouldn't be out until "sometime on Wednesday". If they weren't going to be able to help me, they should have said so. If you are without water and don't want to wait several days to get it back, do not call Casteel.

I have been dealing with Casteel for the past 9 years. I had a problem with my Trane units and replaced them with Carrier units 8 years ago which were installed and serviced by Casteel. Every year since these units were installed, I have had one problem after another. On four occasions, the units were serviced one week and one week later, at least one of the units stopped working. I've had a compressor replaced, valves replace, coils replaced, leak detection tests completed, capacitors replaced all in the 8 years I have owned these units sold and serviced by Casteel. In addition, I took the advice of the owner and added a return vent, added insulation, and had duct work sealed and after all of this work, the two units are not sufficient to cool my home and the units continue to fail. After evaluating replacement of the units with different HVAC contractors, I found that Carrier issued a Dealer Service Bulletin for the units and recalled the Bristol compressors which were installed in the units back in 2012 and I was never notified by Casteel that a recall had occurred. Instead, Casteel continued to come to my home and place a band-aid on my units until I have reached this point where both Casteel and the Carrier units have to go. I know this company gets many great solicited reviews but in this unsolicited review I would definitely NOT recommend Casteel for service or installation of any product in my home.

Casteel replaced my main floor AC unit and created a zone system for my basement. The quote process was flawless and detailed compared to the other quotes. Bobby did a great job giving me options and explaining why I should go with one vs. another. DJ and Rickey who were the techs that came to do the install were exceptional. They were thorough and explained all the details. They were not able to complete the job on the second day as promised and my wife had a wedding shower to setup so they cleaned up and left Saturday afternoon so my wife could set up in the backyard. They came today and finished the job. The job was clean and very professional. They took pride in their work and I wish this was the experience with every construction and install job. Thanks DJ and Rickey.
Installed a 3 ton unit and a zoning system for the main floor and basement.

We've had Casteel out to our home 5 or 6 times in the past two years for a variety of jobs from replacing our electrical panel, to changing out toilets and most recently replacing our water heater. Each time they are on time, professional, courteous and the work is top-notch. I don't think I've dealt with a company with friendlier plumbers and electricians. I can't remember the names of everyone who has come to our home, but I do remember Carlos was the most recent Casteel employee to do work. He was absolutely fantastic. He explained everything that was going to happen, worked quickly and when it was done showed me what had been completed and what I should know about our new water heater. If you have plumbing, heating / cooling or electrical work that needs to be done, these guys can't be beat!

Until recently we had been using Casteel at our home for service and repairs and at my office for our maintenance contract. It got where every time we had a service we were being pressured to have additional work done like the addition of some sort of UV light system for air purification. We were also told there was a problem with one of the motors over amping which the replacement company could not find. They hounded us by phone trying to schedule to have the motor replaced. Motor is still running fine to this day.

I saw Casteel on Yelp and Kudzu. Lots of good reviews. At 1:00pm, I called Casteel at 770-565-5884. The lady that answered the phone was very professional. She said that she could squeeze me in. I guess that means that the technical person had some time in between calls. She also said that the furnace diagnostic fee is $89 plus repair costs. At 1:30pm, I got a callback from Casteel that the repair person would be onsite between 30-45 mins. At 2:00pm, the repair guy showed up. His name was Ben R. I showed him to the attic to where the furnace was located. At 2:50pm, Ben was finished. He said that he had to clean out some vacuum tube worked with the pressure switch that ignites the furnace. He also said that if future problems occurred with this area of the furnace, then it might require a replacement of the housing. He also informed that Casteel offered a preventative maintenance program, which provides two visits. Looking at the second furnace would count as the first visit. The preventative maintenance program also knocks off about $100 from the price of the replacement housing. I declined on the preventative maintenance. I asked Ben what the damages were. He said $89, which was the diagnostic fee. I saws pleasantly surprised. I thought there was going to be additional fees on top of the $89. He accepted checks and credit cards. I paid him $89, and he emailed me the receipt. Very professional. Reasonable price. Quality work.

Tech came to my home because both units were not working. Was told main unit won't come on but can get upstairs unit working with new part and refrigerate. Paid $700 and sale person would come tomorrow to give complete quote on both units. Salesperson quoted $12k. Wanted another estimate so scheduled another independent person. He came and turned on main unit, didn't come on first time, remove cover, fan was stuck, cleared fan. Main unit worked instantly, paid $50 to tech. Called Casteel to complain, they insisted they will stand by techs and didn't offer refund. Now I don't trust the unethical practices of the company....DONT RECOMMEND NO MATTER WHO THEIR SPOKESPERSON IS!!

Greg did a great job at my house--he was on time, very professional and knowledgeable, and took time to explain what was going on with my furnace issues. Excellent price too! No wonder Casteel maintains such a high reputation!

I had a bad phone experience with Amber, who was quite rude, but I later found out she worked for a phone service and not for Casteel directly. John, the plumbing manager, went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was well taken care of and completely changed my mind about the company. I now feel very confident in using their services, and look forward to doing so in the future. Thanks John!! :)

The bad service never ends. When Selling service agreement "filters are free" fast forward to time of service "filters are $60". When installing new AC, "no new drainage pipes needed". When unclogging drainage pipes 3 months after installation, "here is a quote for the cost to install new drainage pipes. When taking the attic stairs and molding down to fit the new AC system they said "it will look like we never touched it once complete" After a week of the attack stairs and molding not being re-installed they were reinstalled without molding, now we have an unpainted square around the attack stairs. If I could take out the new system and start over I would.

However, this could be a case where you have a high efficiency filter that's more expensive. We were very impressed with the quality of work done by Brian. He explained the repairs that needed to be tackled and the price. His work was outstanding and he always took the time to answer all my questions. I tell friends and family to call Casteel when they need anything done...from heating and air to plumbing!! Excellent job.

I have been using Casteel for the past few years to service my AC and heater. Over the years I have had 3 technicians service my units. All 3 have been knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They provide a time window that they will arrive in and give a call when the tech is in route. I have never been stuck waiting for service as they always come within the scheduled window of time. I am very happy with the customer service that Casteel provides. I highly recommend Casteel.
