We have purchased several appliances from Castleberry's over the last 25 years; some used, some new. It has been a great experience every time. When our new glass cooktop broke because a family member accidentally dropped a heavy pan of food on it, my husband called to inquire about the cost of replacing it. Well, my husband couldn't even finish getting his question out because the woman who answered the phone kept interrupting him, assuming he wanted it repaired and rudely said no one was around to help him and he had to call back later. She had a really bad attitude and tone of voice throughout the conversation. After going round and round with this woman, my husband asked to speak with the manager and was rudely told that he couldn't speak with the manager because the manager was on the phone. My husband said he would wait and the woman said goodbye in a smart-aleck way and hung up on him. Unbelievable! When my husband called back, the manager answered and acted like it was no big deal and my husband shouldn't worry about it. When my husband could not locate the model number of our cooktop, the manager then began to get rude. This makes no sense. My husband gave up. We are done with Castleberry's. They are no longer the nice, family owned and operated business they used to be. Castleberry's has gone into the wrong hands. Low class and unprofessional. Don't waste your time.

In short, poor service and rude employees. Consistently mixed up phone contact numbers Will give no timeframe for the technician to show until the day of the service, so you are to put aside the day so you can be available They mixed up the day the agreed to do the service. no apology offered There are too many good companies to deal with rather than put up with this one

Dishwasher broke. Fancy model and part needed wasn't in his truck. Although he said it would be a couple of days, he found a source later that same day and just called to say he would be right out. Fixed it quickly and tested. My wife said he was very competent and generally just a nice man. Not our first good experience with Castleberry. Doubt it will be last.

We went to Castleberry's today because our gas range had a leak. Curtis & James couldn't have been more helpful. James told us what part we needed and where to buy it and offered to send service out the following morning. $2 later, we decided to try to fix it ourselves. We called Curtis and he walked us through exactly how to do it over the phone. Because we were able to take care of this easy repair ourselves we didn't spend money with them this time...but we will be sure to use them for every appliance repair in the future! They are quality people with tremendous customer service!

Long story short - on Friday July 29, my washing machine broke, Castleberry's came out to fix it. They fixed the issue but did not check the connections and flooded my laundryroom and garage. I called Castleberry's and they would get hold of the technician. I had to call back twice to get an answer that the technician was coming back to my house. He immediately fixed the problem but I had to ask him if he was going to clean up the mess. I own a wet/dry vac and he used this to suck up the water in the laundry room and family room. He did not move anything from the floor, just vacuumed around it. I called Castleberry back to see if someone could come out and help us clean up. I was told by James, the salesman and service manager, that there was noone that could help and he did not that kind of work. James told me the technician could call a friend but it was his responsibility. Also, the technician has to pay for the damage. After we finished cleaning, I called the store and spoke to Bob. I suggested they send someone out to look at the damage before it gets worse. Was told they would call me back on Monday. I called almost everyday and did not get any answers. A whole week went by before Wazir Maolud, manager, came to inspect the damage. It has been another week since they came and I have not heard back how they are fixing it! Do not use this company because if something goes wrong, they will not stand behind their employees or their work!!!

This company came to my home to repair a Amana gas range. The ignitor was out, however they installed the incorrect part. It did work for a few months but went out again b/c it was not the correct part!! Had to have another company come out to diagnose. Castleberry's would not stand byhind their workmenship and basically said buy a new oven. I just need a knowledgeable repairman to install the correct part the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 6-month old Whirlpool dryer quit working. Since it is still under warranty, Whirlpool first sent A&E Factory Service to repair (another no-customer service report on A&E's page). Next Whirlpool suggested Castleberry's. Over the years, I've purchased appliances there and had great service. The first repair guy called to ask if it was my cooktop or oven that needed repair, then cursed me for having an attitude problem when I told him it was my dryer. He frightened me on the phone; I could only imagine what it would be like being alone in the house with him. I called the office back saying if he was their only tech, I'd call someone else, that I didn't want him in my house. They sent another tech who wouldn't look at me while talking to me, said it was a part he needed to order, and he'd be back the next day. The next day he came back, said the dryer still wouldn't work, he'd call Whirlpool and get back to me. He didn't. I called the office and was told they couldn't fix it, to call A&E Factory Service. Apparently no one at Castleberry's had any intention of letting me know that they were done. They should be ashamed of themselves. They used to be a well respected company with a great reputation. Not any more.

I found Castleberry's in Atlanta Home Reports and called them when we needed our ice maker fixed and also asked them to replace our hot water hose to our new washing machine. The technician wouldn't replace the hose because it was rusted shut. (that's why we asked him to look at it in the first place!) But in the process of looking at the washing machine, he pulled out the drainage hose from the washing machine and didn't replace it. The next day, I went to do laundry and an hour later found the basement flooded. My husband called the manager at Castleberry's who specifically told my husband he "didn't care" and since the technician didn't charge us for looking at the hose, it wasn't their problem. TERRIBLE customer service. We had to deal with the flood ourselves, and the mildew and smell and water damage to our walls and furniture ourselves. Additionally, the technician left our house after determining that he needed a part for the ice maker and told me he'd come back later (I took the whole day off from work). He called at 4:00 and told me it was too late and he'd come the next day. He did return the next day and he fixed the ice maker. I realize it was an honest mistake on the technician's part, but the manager who spoke on the phone to my husband was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I am so disappointed in Atlanta Home Reports and Castleberry Appliances.

Very poor customer service when sales is finished. We purchased full kitchen set from them and had issues with a dishwasher and they would not do anything about it. finally had the ok from factory for replacement and Castleberry's sat on the request for seveal weeks. Would be better to buy from discount place, you will not get any better follow up service from a small home town business like you use to.

Thursday night, August 2, refrigerator was not working. Everything in the freezer had melted completely. Called another company, as was a Kenmore. Advised earliest appointment would be Tuesday, August 7th. I advised could not wait as had no refrigeration. Sorry couldn't help. Called Castleberry on Friday morning, explained the problem and was told that a technician could come out at some point that day. He called for directions when he was on his way and I met him at the house. He determined that a relay needed replacing, which he did in less than 10 minutes. Cleaned up, gave instructions that it would be 7-8 hrs before freezer would make ice and refrig portion cools down. Happened just as he said. Very professional, highly recommend.
