Cat Care of Vinings is a well-established, full-service, feline veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care.
Cat Care of Vinings was designed as a sanctuary for cats---"even the most nervous and anxious of breeds can be attended to here no matter how serious the condition." Dr. Mike believes cats require special emotional support in addition to traditional, species-specific medical care.
We strive to offer not only sound advice, but also optimal.. veterinary care, thus allowing you the enjoyment of your feline companion for a maximum number of years. Our job is not only to treat your cat when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and boarding condos.

There are some significant differences between CCOV and places like Petsmart. My poor kitty Mopsey had her tail cut off a few years ago and the Petsmart Doc said he could not book surgery until 2... days later! Dr. Mike took her right away and did the surgery. Then she made sure Mopsey was not in pain during recovery. I could give you other examples but suffice it to say that I would never trust my cat to a Pet Doc in a Box again.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have had cats my whole life and have used many veterinarians over the years. Cat Care of Vinings provides the best care I have ever received for my "kids"-cats. Dr Michael Friedlander and Dr Palmer... as well as the well trained staff are extremely knowledgable and competent in the care of cats. It is very evident from the treatment my cats have received with each and every visit. Equally as important, they treat my cats as well as me with great care, respect, and compassion. My cat Hunter developed a severe case of pancreatitis and I know that had it not been for the excellant medical treatment that Hunter received from all of the staff at CCOV, he would not be with me today. They treat their patients as if they were their own. My cats are my children and I am so grateful that I have such a superb place to go to for the care of my kids!! Thank you Cat Care of Vinings!! My cats Hunter, Jack, and Scout say thank you too!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Been taking the precious cargo here for years. Dr. Mike and her outstanding staff have always treated us right and helped us with our siamese cats. We have two new ones and they will see dr. Mike as long as she is there. Don't go to no dog vet for your cat. See Dr. Mike.
I took my kitty to this vet for a checkup and have since been using them to help control his CRF. Dr. "Mike" if fabulous, always willing to spend the needed time to help me understand my cat's issues at hand.
You can feel confident that your cat is getting the best care available at Cat Care of Vinings. Dr. Michael Friedlander is experienced, capable, kind, and caring with my cat and with me. Her staff is also excellent. Besides the excellent care for my cat, Michael also educated me on what I need to do to take care of my cat, such as vaccinations and heart worm prevention. This is a top notch feline veterinary hospital with a top notch staff!
I am as particular about my pets care as I am my own so I wanted to find a vet that was able to make my pet feel comfortable and happy. My cat is a domestic long hair and recently had diarrhea. I tried to bathe her but because of her long hair there was matting and it was just really uncomfortable for her. From the moment I arrived I felt comfortable with the staff. They asked questions and provided solutions that I am sure will be most helpful. The front desk receptionist is also very kind! Makes the visit worthwhile! I have already made an appointment for my youngest cat Max! I will definitely recommend this vet clinic to other cat owners like me! Thanks to Cat Care of Vinings for the awesome treatment today!
The staff are personable and professional. Scheduling appointments and kennel service is easy and accommodating.
First let me say - I have an extremely difficult kitty at the vet. Most vets do not have the time or patience to figure out the issue even if they have the knowledge to treat the problem. Kitten is now 13 and started having trouble this year with food allergies. The thought of having to take her to the vet repeatedly for a chronic condition was a scary prospect. Fortunately, I found Dr. Mike. She spent about 20-30 minutes just sitting in the room with me talking and letting my cat get used to her being there. She patiently and quietly sat looking out the window with her until she was calm enough to just remove from her carrier. After looking her over Dr. Mike recommended a number of tests to be sure that we thoroughly got to the bottom of her issues. She took the time to explain clearly what each procedure was and made sure I understood why she was doing it and the costs involved. She was doing well on her meds but suddenly developed an unrelated condition, pancreatitis. Dr. Mike again took a thorough and careful look at diagnosing the problem. She had to stay two days at the office which was very difficult for us financially but the right thing to do for kitten. The quality of treatment and unbelievable care with which my kitten was treated are priceless to me especially as kitten moves into her later years. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.
Sweetpea is a peaceful kitty again since her visit to Cat Care of Vinings.... and its been years since this has been the case. As she's gotten older she has developed a variety of skin irritations and allergies, and I was at my wit's end about how to stop the scratching and constant licking. Dr. Friedlander was generous with her time and within hours of leaving the center Sweetpea saw improvement. Not only was there a sound short term solution but a thoughtful long term approach. Whew!
Dr. Mike and her staff have taken care of our cats, since the day we adopted them. This includes i cat that we adopted from Cat Care of Vinings. They are always concerned and caring of both the cats and the parents. They never fail to provide the best of care and concern. We would never think of taking our cats anywhere else but here.
My very shy and now senior cat has been going to Cat Care of Vinings for over five years. All procedures are thoroughly explained and they take extra care to make the experience as comfortable as possible for my cat. I've recommended them to other cat lover friends who have also had great experiences.
I have used Cat Care of Vinings since 2009. Dr. Mike and her staff cared for my elderly cat, Gracie, through her senior years. Gracie was VERY difficult to examine but required regular veterinary care to monitor and treat a thyroid condition. Dr. Mike and her staff treated Gracie with patience and skill. They always took time to answer my many questions. Dr. Mike and her staff are dedicated, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I have referred friends and family members to Cat Care of Vinings and all have been very happy with the care their kitties received.
Took my 2 cats in there, and they got an unnecessary deep teeth cleaning. $1000+ later, and I was in shock! Called 5 other Vets and without saying the above, all said there was no reason to do a teeth cleaning at their ages. I guess she had to pay the rent some how!
I am very happy that I found this vet clinic. Not only do they cater to only cats, but the staff is very helpful and patient with all questions you may have. I will definitely be using this place for all of my cats needs.
Dr. Mike and her staff are absolutely the best, very personable and thorough. You can tell they care about your cat just as much as you do. Nice and calm environment for even the most anxious of kitties. The absolute best veterinary care I have ever experienced in my 25 years of pet (dog & cat) ownership. They literally saved my little Sammy boys life, for which I will always be grateful and honestly wouldn't want to trust my cat's care to anyone else.
