Installed original boiler back in 2001. 4 years later a pump went and he came and replaced it and made other repairs. Unknowing to us, he took ALOT of short cuts and wired things in a way to make it work but save HIM time. Didn't feel like fixing the circuits correctly I guess. The new repair guy showed me all the things he did which ended up making other parts of the furnace malfuction 4 years later (this week). We only discovered what he did AFTER we had to pay someone to else to fix our leaking pressure release valve. 3 hours after they replaced it, it started releasing steam and shaking violently, which made them aware of what REALLY was going on w/ the boiler. He replaced one of the gauges w/ another one that was old and defective part.....was charged for a new one (amoung many other things he apparently did while in our house). The pressure release valve wasn't even to code......it was facing parallel to the floor and not down AT the floor. Glad I wasn't around if that would have gone!! The new repair guy (a friend) bascially said I really got "hosed" by they guy at CCR. Nice enough guy in person but damn......if you're gonna screw around and make short cuts....don't end up making a BOMB in my basement. Thanks!! I have no reason to lie. Only met the guy 2 times in my life.
