As a followup to my earlier posting.......a couple months ago I was contacted out of the blue by Leslie White. He apologized for difficulties in the past and said he wanted to "make things right." What prompted this is unclear. (I had been in conversation with another person with a similar complaint and we had considered legal action, but hadn't started that process.) After a brief conversation Leslie and I agreed on a price for me to sell my piano back to Cecil White and he would bring me a check on the first of the month. He showed up at my office on the first of the month with a cashier's check for the agreed amount, and I signed off on the piano.

Had a piano refinished by Cecil White.Excellant refinish and wood work. They moved it and did all the work and replaced it back in the home with no problems. This might have been done many years before some of the other complaints i have read. The piano work was great as well as the tune.

This company has the worst reputation in Atlanta of any piano dealer. I would be willing to bet that all the glowing reviews they have on kudzu are written by them and not customers or vendors. Their reputation is awful and my personal experience with them was awful and getting my money was like pulling teeth.

How is Cecil White music still in business ? In 2000 Cecil III took my 10,000 piano to sell on consignment. Never heard from them. Finally I had to press him on the phone , he would always say "it's out being rented" and would send me a few hundred when I came to his store and demanded it. Return trips to his store and a small claims suit finally netted me $3,500. Amazing. Save yourself some anguish

This a great and trustful family business. Recently bought a used a piano from them. Not only they gave me a reasonable deal, but also they offered/promised me with good service. The first post-purchase service was great. The Senior Mr.White is a very knowledgeable and nice person. He is technically very experienced. We know the next other service will be great, too. Thank you Ceil White family!! Alexander

I spoke with the owner of Cecil White Music after purchasing my piano about some of the comments online posted by other Kudzuers and it is sad that out of the quarter of a million people they have done business with over the years that 4 or 5 high maintenance unhappy customers can smear your business name with their ratings and remarks. My piano was flawless and Cecil White himself came out to inspect it upon delivery. I couldn't be happier. Great Family Owned and Operated business.

I'M not sure about the other biased slanderous reviews are, but my dealings with Cecil White and Sons have been 100% professional. I have purchased insruments from their retail store, and have also had all of my tunings and maintenence completed by Cecil White.

Had them sell our piano on consignment. I had to do all the communication work from California! Took three years and several recommended (by Cecil) price reductions. Still not sure at what price they sold our piano. My hunch is that they sold much earlier (for a higher price) than they told me. I had to threaten with legal action to get the transaction straightened out and get our money. Stay away! They are a huge hassle with horrible customer service.

This is the nicest most honest family business you will ever come across. They have been around since 1927, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my piano.

I purchased a piano from them in 1992, they offer to resell on consignment. They picked up my piano in August of 2001. That is the last I saw of it. Repeated phone calls, visits and letters do not help. BBB cannot help.Cecil White III doesn't know where my piano is and will not send me a promised check for the last discussed price, half of what I paid.

Cecil White pianos took two of my pianos afeter a flood in my home with a verbal agreement that I could either trade them or he would return them to me. He sent me a defective piano that I had to return and he never paid the moeny he promised me. After numerous attempts to resolve the matter and driving to his store, I went to small claims court. Just to get it over I settled for an amount half what he had told me I would receive. This has lasted 3 years!! BEWARE.

I was referred to Cecil White by the Ritz Carlton Hotel for my daughters wedding they did a fantastic job, and we have since bought a guitar from them. Highly Recommended.
