Cedros Gardens is the most delightful nursery…period. Plant selection is fab and Mia’s knowledge is beyond compare. All organic—no pesticides allowed. Go, even if you are not a gardener.

Cedros Gardens is on my frequent-visit list even though I live 25 miles away. They are worth the drive. They are a small nursery, but they have an excellent variety of plants and all are healthy and hearty. Their team is very knowledgeable in how to maintain an organic garden free of most synthetic chemicals. They also provide landscaping advice and services if you request. They have an excellent selection of clumping, non-invasive bamboos, and many plants you will not find at other local nurseries. They also have interesting fountains (I've purchased 2 from them), and a nice selection of indoor plants. Finally, they have a large bird cage that entertains the kids. Highly recommend this quaint garden center.

I nearly passed by it, so watch closely as you drive down Cedros in downtown Encinitas. It's a little gem of a garden, a verdant spot in downtown Encinitas. Lots of little garden rooms with all kinds of annuals, perennials plus larger plants & trees. A fun place to visit for inspiration; plus, they really know their organic fertilizers and pesticide-free products!
