Worst customer service, 6/20/2011

I scheduled a routine maintenance appointment window from 11-2 PM. At 2:15 I called the company to find out why the tech hadn't shown up. Was told he'd be here in 30 minutes by Customer Service. 30... mins. later he still wasn't. I called again and told them the only way I'd wait longer was if they offered me a discount, which they did. I was told he'd be here in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back and was again told that the guy was on his way. I asked them to call me back if he wasn't going to be able to make it to my house by 3:30; they said they would. They never called. He never showed. I called back and found out their CS dept. closes at 3-- they never intended to call me at all! Finally at 3:30 the tech calls me and says he'll be at my house in 20 minutes. No apology, no acknowledgement that this would put him at 2 hours late. I told him I didn't want his services. I called the company back and told them exactly what I thought of their "service". Again, no apologies. They just transferred me to some manager's voice mail. Do NOT bother calling this business if you actually want work done. You'll just waste your time.

Dishonest, 7/04/2009

Worst customer service! Told "diagnostic" fee would be applied toward repair cost when appt was scheduled. I already knew what was wrong with the unit and told the scheduler what it was. I was... told I still needed the "diagnostic" visit, but the fee would be applied. After the tech arrived and did the diagnosis, which took about 2 mins by the way, because we already knew what was wrong, he said the diagnosis was extra. I was also told the repair would be nearly $500 for about 1.5 hrs of work! Ridiculous! When I called a manager about the misinformation, I expected they would honor what their own employee told us. Of course, he simply stated he couldn't do that and the reason the repair was so much was because they have to pay for gas. Stay as far away as you can from this company. They obviously have no idea was customer service is, and have no integrity.

worst experience in 20 years in AZ

when I was getting bids, they came in lowest. One competitor advised that if I went with them, I would be having at least 3 follow up appointment. This was for a new AC system (replacement) he was wrong. they had to come back 4 times. horrible experience. employees helped themselves to things in my fridge when I was not there. All issues reported to management went un-answered and never an apology. take my advice, go with a smaller shop even if you have to pay a little more. it will be more than worth it. thanks for reading.

Always Get a 2nd Opinion

Called about a broken hvac unit. While they came quickly and seemed busy, took 2 hours to then tell us by process of elimination compressor (about $2,000) needed to be replaced. Got 2nd opinion from another company next day. Within 5 minutes, the new company pressed a button that showed compressor worked fine. But, when they turned a/c on, fan did not rotate at all. Fan was broken ($300 repair), not compressor. I don't know how Chas Roberts could take so long, not know to press the button to test compressor, and not notice that fan blades weren't moving. I do not know whether it was an issue of competence, lack of training, or deliberate but I do know that I won't use them again. I am still trying to get my money back from this poorly performed service call.

Unqualified Professionals

My neighbor thought she smelled an electrical odor from their heating system. Chas Roberts sent a representative to inspect. The representative said that the blower fan motor was burnt up and the squirrel cage fan was destroyed and it would cost about $700 for parts. I pulled the fan motor assembly and inspected them and found nothing wrong with either. I re-installed and it has been running fine for approximately two months!!!!!
