The PET PORTAL will enable our clients to view their pet records, make appointments, schedule surgeries, and order medications, food, and supplies on line! We urge all of our clients to make sure we have your correct email so you can participate in all of these GREEN events.
CAC is a great place to bring your pets! The staff knows what they are talking about and Dr. Smith is always going the extra step to take care of our pups! I would recommend them to any of our... closest friends and family!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I have recently started going to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic. I am a picky pet parent and do not settle for just anyone taking care of my fur kids. Dr Smith, Amanada and Lisa made my day! They... were so nice and patient with me and all my questions. My pets absolutely love them. I truly feel that they have my fur kids best interest at heart and we can now say we have a family vet. Thank you for everything!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Dr. Morton consistently goes the extra mile and spends quality time with you and your pet during your appointment. The Dr. and the staff make themselves available for questions and are quick to follow up if you need them. Regardless of where I lived in Atlanta, I would go out of my way to take my dog to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic.
This is the third vet I've been to in 5 years since moving to Roswell. Finally we've found a home. Dr Andy diagnosed my dog's lymphoma and steered us in the proper direction for treatment. Today he is in remission. The neighbors have remarked that he is "like a new dog" after treatment for his hip dysplasia also. I love the staff. They are family too and most important my dog loves going there. I don't have to drag him in the door as with a previous vet.
I took my dog to GVS emergency hospital on Thanksgiving and had to overnight him. I needed to take him to another clinic to avoid the insane fees. I found this clinic on Kudzu. The reviews on here are 100% true. Dr. Andy, Dr. Smith, and the team are simply the best. I e-mailed Dr. Andy on Thanksgiving, expecting him to answer me the next day. He responded to me on the same day! He communicated with me throughout the day. We dropped Cooper off the next day and the team took care of him as if he was their own. Dr. Smith was very thorough and explained everything. After we brought him home, I continued to email Dr. Andy back and forth to continue the care I needed for Cooper. His responses are very prompt. All in all, I feel very safe with Cooper in their hands. They genuinely care about their patients. I will say I am very picky with things, often finding faults or issues to pick with, but the Chattahoochee Clinic provides the best customer service and care. It is well worth the 20 minute drive. Please change your vet to here, I promise you it is very well worth it.
When visiting the vet, we generally find it necessary to make time on the weekend due to busy weekly schedules. Dr. Marcus Smith has seen our boys multiple times and is one of the few vets we feel comfortable working with. He is very knowledgeable and straightforward. Chattahoochee Animal clinic is very lucky to have him as a veterinarian on staff.
I have been bringing my dogs (and multiple fosters!) to this clinic for over 12 years. Andy is an exceptional vet who sits on the floor with my dogs. He has always been precise with his clinical advice and has provided some great referrals to specialists when needed. The staff are THE BEST - they treat my dogs like their own, have laughed over my pets and cried with me when I had to say goodbye to a few. This is the place to come if you want your pet to have truly personal and loving care.
Dr. Andy and his staff are terrific. It is obvious that they really care about the patients (the pets) and their owners. We recently (a year ago) got our first dog and Chattahoochee Animal Clinic was highly recommended to us by friends. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. They take care of any all problems for us and are wonderful about following up with us to make sure that everything is always ok. We highly recommend them!
We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Andy and his staff. From the moment we walk in the door, they always show their sincere interest in our dogs care. The entire staff is always patient with us and our dog, taking the time to explain options and courses of action. Our dog has high anxiety when outside the comfort of his own home and the staff is very helpful in dealing with this. They adjusted their typical protocol to accommodate his anxiety when administering shots and taking blood. We've recently had to put our dog through heartworm treatment. Dr. Andy has been so helpful in answering questions and communicating through email when necessary. We're extremely appreciative of the genuine care our dog receives with Chattahoochee Animal Clinic.
Both my Boxer and my cat see Dr. Andy. The office is clean, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Andy is both knowledgeable and comforting. My boxer has had two surgeries with Dr. Andy, and both went as well as possible! I'll never see another vet.
We found Chattahoochee Animal Clinic and Dr Andy 1 year ago by reading the reviews on Kudzu.com and I have to say that every fantastic thing I read about this practice is totally true. This is a very special place where I feel my 3 little dogs and my daughter's dog get the best of care. The staff and Dr Andy actually know our animals and care ABOUT them. Dr Andy is available by email even after hours which I credit with saving one of my dog's lives when she was critically ill. When she spent a week in the ICU at GVS Dr Andy actually kept in contact with the Dr there to check on her progress! It is pretty difficult for me to limit my praise of this practice to only 250 words because it is truly a wonderful practice providing the best care and treatment with totally caring and committed staff.
Doctor Andy seems very caring and patient, but unfortunately my interactions with the office manager have been nothing but unpleasant. She is rude and dismissive which totally negates any positive experience with the rest of the staff. From scheduling appointments to purchasing products, my interaction with Lisa has always been negative.
No one likes bad news, especially when it comes to money. When tthis client found out that she had been paying below our cost for prescription food for over a year and now had to pay the correct price, this is her reaction.
I took my dog in today for the first time, I love it there. The staff is the friendliest vet staff I have ever met. I stayed a few minutes and chatted with them. They are not only friendly but also knowledgeable and caring. I have definitely found my girls a new vet clinic.
Thanks for the great review and validation of my fantastic staff! My guardian angels.
The Dr. is very nice and so are the staff. They seem very focused on selling you add-ons at all times. Often, before you are even seated, the front desk has already tried to talk you into buying something. This is always annoying, because you go with a sick pet, and that is all that is on your mind, and here they are asking about rabies shots, or heart worm pills, or flea medicine...it would be nice for the actual vet to go over that with you and have it taken care of after the exam. All exams are done in exam rooms, but for treatment, your pet is always whisked away by the staff to a back room out of sight. The vet techs seem to change often. Overall, it is okay, they will spend a lot of time with you and your pet.
Thanks for your review. As I've told my staff, I'd rather be criticized for doing the right thing than the wrong thing. One of our roles is to give our clients the best advice. With heartworm disease at an all time high and the resurgence of Rabies and intestinal parasites, we are committed to making sure everyone is aware. Unfortunately, the economy has caused a tremendous decrease in compliance for the diseases that we can prevent our beloved pets from contracting. In regards to treating animals in treatment... our treatment area is designed and equipped for such, whereas the exam rooms are designed for examination and consultations. In addition, pets are extremely cooperative in treatment when away from their parents. Finally, in this economy, I'm proud to say that we continue to hire technicians and doctors, so the change you observed is actually additional employees. We've had our core techs and staff for many, many years and have only lost a few employees that have gone back to college, but still continue to work summers and holidays.
This week's case of the week is one of own, "Cowboy". Cowboy is a very mischievous Cattle dog that decided to eat a pack of sugar free gum with Xylitol. Unfortunately, Xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs and cats and can be fatal if not treated immediately with supportive care, IV fluids, and IV glucose. Xylitol initially causes an abrupt drop in blood sugar and can cause seizures if not treated immediately. Thereafter, it's toxicity to the liver is extreme and must be treated with intense supportive care. Luckily, Cowboy's mom, Amanda, is one of our technicians and knew what to do immediately. Cowboy is back to himself and still loves to look for trouble!
Prior to bringing home my puppy Great Dane, I performed thorough research on vets in the Roswell area. I personally interviewed eight local offices and had no trouble deciding on Chattahoochee Animal Clinic. Dr. Morton has extensive experience with giant breed dogs. Moreover, he specializes in geriatrics, which all pet owners need to consider at one time or another. It's been almost ten years since I brought my Dane home. Earlier this year, he began battling arthritis. Dr. Morton discussed some of the latest advancements in treatment and partnered with me to decide on a strategy. The results were remarkable and immediate. I'm so grateful for the thoughtful love and attention Dr. Morton has given my animals over the years.
Thanks for the wonderful review. It's so cool to see the circle of life right before your eyes. You've given us every opportunity to do the best for McKinley and that's why he's doing so well.
I've had pets my entire life and have had plenty of experiences with vets; thankfully, I've had good luck. Even with the bar set high, Dr. Andy and his staff receive the highest praise. My dog Ellie has always been very nervous at the vet; she would shake uncontrollably. This has NEVER happened at this clinic. Dr. Andy is thorough, friendly, and professional; the same description applies to his staff. Thank you, CAC!!!!!!!
Thank you for such a great review. When you love what you do, it shows. I'm especially proud of my staff and their deep love and commitment to our patients and our clients.
