My daughter Caitlyn had a well visit to be looked over in order to register for kindergarten. Despite me telling them about our family's medical history, and the fact that her cardiologist recommended we don't get her vaccinated due to her heart defect, I was told to sign a refusal form. I wanted to add those facts as well as look it over with my husband so we could make the choice to sign together (being that he is also her parent and deserves equal consideration). The form states that we are endangering our child, yet clearly it was not medically responsible to vaccinate her. I left with the paper to review and was followed out to the parking lot by a nurse that said she needed the form and I can not leave with it. I said I need to look it over with my husband and he would like to also read something that I sign in reference to our daughter's health. She said come back inside now and then two more nurses came out. I had been getting in my car when followed out and the nurse came up to my open car door telling me she would wait while I sign because I am not leaving without signing. She stood there, holding my car door open while I signed then took it before I could write in the comments section or check declined. No one deserves this treatment and had it been me who forced someone to sign a document or prevented them from leaving I could be arrested. Please steer clear of this practice if you want respect and consideration as a parent and person, vaccinating or not.

The staff is very rude. The doctor isn't very caring and didn't seem to have the time to listen to our concerns. We felt as if we were a burden on her. I get better service when I take my dog to the vet.

Mr.J.Hunter, thank you for posting with your real name. I do not believe you have ever been to our office or you would not be making such broad accusations. I work with some of the most amazing, kind and compassionate group of people. If your experience has been otherwise, please contact me so that I can rectify the situation.
We are from California and our pediatrician has been Dr. Jay Gordon who is very famous, holistic Dr. - treats the whole child. He has many famous clients, and is known throughout the world. I called here to make an appointment for my daughter and they promptly scheduled her an appointment (on provider list as, "taking new patients" and under our insurance Coventry-One). but as soon as they asked what vaccinations our daughter had been given in the past and we told them the ones she did and didn't have, they told us we could not come to their practice....could care less about the fact that we were in GA now and our daughter needed a check-up. Really disappointed in the lack of openness we are finding in the South and the lack of desire to investigate new and proven research...Really primitive mindset!!! This is a practice for those that like to stay in the past and keep old and sometimes obsolete ideas. If you like an open mind for your child or holistic approach than DONT GO HERE!!!

mjanebrant, I think you must have called some other practice because we are one of the few practices that accepts patients that are unvaccinated or undervaccinated. Our job as pediatricians is to educate and advice. All of my staff is well versed with this policy. Here is a link to our official vaccination policy: https://drkute.com/vaccinations;jsessionid=8876DC04FBC3A568044A5A746694CE64. Rest of your review says more about you than about us. Maybe you should just go back to California.
Dr. Kute has been my son's doctor his entire life. When he was born and I was struggling to breast feed, she offered me a job position where I could bring him everyday and try to breast feed. I watched her make so many house calls to moms that were sick and unable to leave their house. What doctor does that? I have seen reviews claiming that Dr. Kute doesn't care for patients with Medicaid. As a former employee and current patient I can attest to the fact that Dr. Kute has always provided the best care for her patients regardless of insurance. There were so many times Medicaid would only cover a few cents for immunizations that $100-$200 and Dr. Kute would pay the remaining balance herself and not bill the patient. However, if you show up at her office in a luxury car, designer clothes, and hand her a Medicaid card, I bet she's probably not going to reach into her own pockets to help you pay your bill. She will still provide your child with excellent care or refer you to someone who will. Dr. Kute is very direct, but she is not rude. She will tell you how it is and this can offend some people, but she only has your childs best interest at heart.

Dr Kute is rude and uncaring. She may like some people but seems to have some problem with me and my child and has been nothing but patronizing and completely unprofessional.

We have been with Dr. Kute since 2007. We couldn't be happier. We don't live close either. Maybe our situation is different than most but she always remembers our names. Same with her staff, they know who we are when we come in. I highly recommend this practice.

The type of service you will receive at this doctor's office will depend on the type of insurance u have.

Ms.H, you were discharged from my practice for verbally abusing one of my staff members. My people work very hard to provide good service to our families. I do not allow anyone to abuse my staff. I was witness to the phone call that led to your dismissal. Sincerely, Vaishali Kute, MD
I am a first time mom to a son that was born 5 weeks early. He is thriving thanks in part to Dr Kute. If it weren't for her, I believe our son would have spent his first days in the NICU. Dr Kute has been kind, patient, calm, and reassuring. She has spent a lot of time educating me especially regarding breast feeding and as she promised after 4 weeks of offering my breasts for feeding and supplementing via pumping my little mans a pro. Additionally I appreciate the concern Dr Kute has exhibited towards me, the new mom to a preemie. She checks in with me about how I am doing by taking a thorough social history. We all know that as moms, we rightfully get consumed with our babies/kids as do our partners/husbands/other family members, so it's nice that a medical professional recognizes the value of a healthy, happy mom. Like most of Dr. Kute's patients I, too, have researched controversial topics such as vaccinations and circumcision, but Dr. Kute has earned my trust and I will abide by her recommendations. She provides fantastic balance.

We were recommended by a friend who took her three children here. she had nothing but great things to say about how accomodating the practice is. our inital visit was great!! we saw dr. lavania and the kids love her! since then we have had two sick visits. one we just walked in and they took us right there! we have never had anything less than great service from Chat. Pediatrics. I recommend them to everyone i meet. It is rare to get such great service like that nowadays. Great Job from the front desk to the back of the office. PROUD PATIENT!!

My children have been patients of Dr. Kute's for several months. She has proven herself to be a very thoughtful and caring physician toward all of our kids. I feel she takes an appropriate amount of time with us and addresses all of our concerns. She has exhibited an evenhanded approach to her practice to allow for medical deviations, while also providing the best care for our kids. I appreciate the delicate balance that she needs to take to accommodate "alternative" healthy lifestyles (delayed vaccinations, organic options, etc.) and she has been very supportive of our family's choices. I look forward to our children continuing their care with Dr. Kute.

She was our Dr. since our son was born but no longer. Our son was given a vaccination that we specifically said we did not want every time we've been there. Thankfully it wasn't anything he was allergic to but still our son now has a virus in him that we did not want. Needless to say we have a new Dr. now In response to your reply, one, you are correct in that you did not see my son that day but your staff did and made the mistake. Any web search of Chattahoochee Pediatrics though brings up your name so that's why I posted here. Again yes you were not the doctor my son saw that day. Two I sincerely hope you made changes to your protocol as it is not fool proof. Third my wife and I did extensive research into the vaccines we wanted our son to have and weighed the rick vs reward and now all were left with is the risk. You cited that 100 people die every year from this and from the last numbers I have checked there are approx 43.4 million children in this country between 0 and 11. There is also around a 1 in 50,000 chance of a severe adverse reaction to the vaccine, both low numbers yes but we prefer the first one as both my wife and I and our siblings have had it with no complications. As this is not a site to discuss the risks and benefits of vaccines, rather the experiences people have of services of businesses in the area I will move on. Last, yes your staff have apologised to us for the error but the bottom line is that there is nothing that can be done.

Mr.F, your review may lead the reader to believe that I personally ordered and/or administered the wrong vaccine to your child. As a matter of fact, I was not directly involved in your child getting the chickenpox vaccine at his two year visit. As the founder of Chattahoochee Pediatrics, I have striven to eliminate errors of any sort when delivering care to our clients. I have prepared what I thought was a fool proof protocol for vaccine administration. Your child received the vaccine he was overdue for purely due to human error. We cater to a multitude of families who request a slow or modified schedule. These include several families that have been discharged from other pediatric practices due to vaccine non-compliance. In the current climate of vaccine-phobia, our job is to educate and facilitate. Since we deviate from the CDC protocol so often at the behest of the parents, we are extra careful in executing the parents wishes. Even though it was against your wishes, and I and my staff have apologised numerous times for this error, little W received a vaccine against a disease that used to kill about 100 healthy people and hospitalize about 10,000 every year. He is a perfectly healthy little guy. I wish your family well. Take care, Vaishali Kute, MD
My daughter had reflux as a baby. I wanted a second opinion on a strong medication, prescribed by her former pediatrician, so a friend recommended Dr Kute. She gave me advice on how to manage her reflux without medication, which helped immensely and eventually she grew out of it. There was a time when Dr Kute was due to go on vacation and my daughter had fallen sick. She'd had a stand in doctor, but still gave me her mobile phone number and told me to call her, while on her vacation, if I needed to! We've been with her for 6 years and on the two occasions I've called out of hours, she's been brilliant. She's always been personable and genuinely concerned about the wellbeing of our family. My daughters love her and are so excited when they have a doctor's appointment. She takes the time to speak to them and genuinely get to know them. A friend had needed a second opinion, so I recommended Dr Kute. She was so impressed that she now drives all the way from Dunwoody for her daughter's pediatric care. It's a fact that there will always be high maintenance parents, with unrealistic expectations, so no Doctor is going to be able to satisfy everyone, all of the time, but our experience has been amazing.

We interviewed several doctors when we were expecting our first child. Dr. Kute has a wonderful reputation with all of the well known midwives in Atlanta and Roswell. They spoke very highly of her and her holistic side. We now have two children and I honestly don't know what we would do without her. She is always available to see us if our children are sick and she is never quick to pass out antibiotics. She always weighs your options with you. I love her holistic side and love how caring she is with out children. She is by far, one of the best doctors in the metro area. We drive from Norcross to see her. We just can't say enough about how great she is! The Stormont Family~
