I have a 28 1/2 year old Arabian Mare that I've owned since August 5,1987 when I helped her mother foal. I owned her mother for 24 of her 26 years so this mare means a great deal to me. I had her at home with me for many years but in 2012 I moved her to Cherokee and sold my acerage. I would never have been able to do that if I hadn't found Helene. At Cherokee it's not all about the money, it's for the love of horses. Helene pours her heart and soul into the horses and she takes care of my mare with all the love and care that I do. I would pay 3 X what she charges if I found a better facility but I haven't. My mare is observed, scrutinized and Helene notices every nuance, every slight change in behavior. Is it a gorgeous and elegant facility? No. But the stalls are very large and spacious, feed is scientifically prepared and the ranch is safe and more than adequate. The people who commented about drama and the owners mental health must have been The problems themselves. I've never experienced any drama and the owner is a delightful character with a lot of wisdom. There have been a couple of emergencies with my old girl and I've never gotten a panicked call. Helene has handled the situation, called the vet and informed me at the same time. If always felt she was on top of everything. th best recommendation I can give is that my HORSE loves it there.

The owner of this barn has severe mental issues, she is dishonest and dramatic much like a teenager. She lied to me about how much shavings my horse would get, and how often the stalls were cleaned. Dig down about a foot in her stalls and it is one solid pee spot. Awful place, and if this is your idea of a Hilton, apparently you haven't looked at this place close enough. It's more like a camp ground. In time I assure you, you too will leave this barn very disappointed. The drama here is worse then junior high with a bunch of mean girls!!

We have boarded here since 2001 and have been happy with the care our horse receives. Stalls are cleaned, the arena and round pen are available and usable during daylight hours, grooming and bath racks are kept clean. Horses are turned out 3X a week. There are fans and misters in each stall so that the horses are as comfortable as possible during the hot months. No place is perfect, but if there is one thing you can be sure of at this facility, it is that the owner cares about each horse in her barn.

I have owned my 22 year-old horse for 10 years. He is a member of my family and I will do anything for him. This past weekend I had an emergency situation occur with my horse...if the owner and stall cleaners at Cherokee Arabians had not been around, cleaning stalls and letting horses out, I would not have known my horse was in trouble and he would have died . I received a phone call immediately from the owner of Cherokee Arabians that my horse was ill, and the owner and many fellow boarders stayed with me through 8 hours of h-e-double hockey-sticks trying to keep my horse alive. As it is, he is out of surgery and recovering well from his life-threatening emergency...an emergency that could neither be predicted nor prevented. After seeing how much the owner and fellow boarders at Cherokee Arabians cared about my horse and me, I beg the question-how many people would do this for you? My horse and I are extremely lucky we board where we do.

We have been boarding at Cherokee Arabians for over a year and are very happy with it. The stalls are huge, 12x16, each horse has a fan and misters for the summer months, a healthy feeding program, a huge arena, a round pen, a pasture and blanketing in the winter. It is a very pleasant atmosphere to spend time with your horse.

We boarded there for a while and the facility is not properly maintained. The stalls are not being cleaned, shavings are sparse and the horses are not being turned out. The arena is rarely dragged, branches overhang and the lights do not work. We would not recommend this place for boarding.
