We have been going to Cherokee Auto Tech for years. Great customers to them. We went to them a few months ago and spent over $700 with them. One of the mechanics broke the key to my wheel locks with out informing me. A few months go by I take my car to get the brakes done by another mechanic who is a close friend of ours who does all of our brakes. And he informs me that the key is broken. He spent two hours trying to get the locks off and charged me for it. After getting two of the four locks off we took the car back to Cherokee Auto Tech and told them what had happened. They spent time taking off the other two locks. Also causing damage to my rims. But have failed to compensate for the cost of taking off the two we had done somewhere else along with the cost of new key and locks for my car... They were the last mechanic shop to take the wheels off the car before I attempted to change the brakes out. What surprises me is that they would not even consider working something out with me. The new locks and the price of the removal of the broken ones was $160. To wrap this up if they do brake something on YOUR car don't excpect them to honor that they broke something and do not expect them to compensate you for it.

Notice! Notice! Notice! Any Friends or Family in the area of Woodstock, Georgia thinking about taking a vehicle to Cherokee Auto Tech for service or repair be advised. I initially took my 2003 Dodge Ram to Cherokee Auto Tech to have my air conditioning repaired and I was quoted $900 for the repair. After having the truck for 3 days, I received a call from Vince the owner asking me what repairs were necessary. I explained to him for the second time that I needed my air conditioning repaired. 1 week later I received a call that the repair would be much more extensive and the cost would now be $1700. Last Thursday I received another call and Vince stated that he could only find the dash at a dealer which would make the repair $2300. I have been told each day after that the truck might be ready for pick up by the end of the day which it was not. Yesterday afternoon I tried to call to confirm that the truck was ready only to find that the business phone was shut off. I received a call this morning that the truck was actually ready yesterday afternoon. I went to pick up my truck today and when I arrived I was told that the repair was now $2529.43 because the truck needed yet another part. This so called business held my truck for 19 days and increased the cost of the original quote over $1600. On a side note, I feel that my vehicle was used well over any necessary test drive mileage however I can't prove that because I did not take a photo of the odometer prior to turning it in.
Cherokee Auto Tech quoted me $900 for an AC repair kept the truck 19 days and jacked the price up to $2529.43. I believe that my truck was used for purposes outside of repair work

Saw spot on garage floor - oil leak? Cleaned spot, took to Cherokee Auto Tech, valve covers' gaskets (V 6), CAT 'fixed' for $158.77 on 4/17/12. 2nd - spot on garage floor, oil leak? CAT said crankcase seal and valve cover gasket - bad part, they wouldn't cover, I paid to have 'fixed' $485.00 on 4/13/15. 3rd spot on garage floor! CAT said oil pan gasket, I paid to have 'fixed' and O2 sensor $520.00 on 6/18/15. 4th spot on garage floor, CAT said rear seal. This time I asked CAT if I paid for this, would they guarantee completely, unequivocally no more oil leaks, the owner said yes I paid for that and clutch, supplied my own parts (remember oil pan gasket CAT supplied failed) $485.51 on 6/6/15. 5th spot on garage floor, CAT's owner said guarantee not covered because the 'part failed' and I supplied part. I said part failed immediately, car is 3rd car, only saw oil leak because had to pull car out, odometer hadn't increased more than 50 miles. CAT offered to 'fix' for $165.00 on 9/12/15. Understand, every time I had car 'fixed' @ CAT, I solvent cleaned garage floor because I believed - oil leak 'fixed.' I challenged CAT @ every occurrence and CAT always replied with some kind of smarmy answer. So, I always gave CAT the benefit of the doubt until this last time when I was fed up and asked, point blank, for a complete guarantee. CAT advertises for Auto Mechanic all the time and in this case, never offered up the possibility that throughout the hi

First let me say that I really wanted for this to work out. I took my Nissan in to have the engine light problem, which is usually just an oxygen sensor ($150). After $1700, a month in the shop, multiple ENGINE/TIMING/INTERNAl repairs it is still running poorly and the check engine light has come back on. I am now told it needs an oxygen sensor. I am taking it somewhere else because I cannot afford for them to fix everything on it before getting it right. It may have needed all of those repairs, but I have to wonder if the oxygen sensor should have been first...not last.

Vincent has "common sense" on everything. I called, and let hime inspected all my cars before I bought. The price is very resonable, work quaranteed. Never has any problem with him.

Had a Kia Sportage serviced for broken alternator in January '11. Alternator broke again 8 months later and Cherokee Auto required warranty work done in their shop. Problem was the car would have to be towed 200 plus miles because it stopped working out of town. No major shop requires this process. Beware!

Vincent flooded my car with oil that eventually tore up my engine!!! Now I have no working car and am out $1200!!!! I have a note from another repair shop showing what this shop did to my car!!!! I can't believe they are in business if this is how they treat customers!!!! Very upsetting! Mr. J.S.

I take all of my cars to Mr. Vincent b/c I know that he will always do a great job. From rebuilding the engine in my Suburban to the check engine light in wife's van Cherokee Auto Tech has always been more than fair to me. The crew is friendly and everyone is always polite. I wish I could give more stars.

I have three cars that Vincent and his crew have been working on for years now. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Very honest people. Have had times when I thought I had to pay for a part and they told me it was under warranty. No part charge, no labor charge. They stand by their work. Great shop!

I had some problems with my door: It won't open from the inside. I called around and most people charge $200 to fix it. I called Cherokee Auto Tech and the owner diagnosed the problem on the phone, which was approved to be correct, and quoted me less than what others are charging. I took it there the next day, and it was fixed promptly. The bill was $75. I will definitely use this shop for my future repairs! The owners are very polite and nice as well!

I found this shop from reading the other positive reviews here on Kudzu. I took my car in late on a Friday afternoon hoping it could just be looked at and diagnosed on Saturday. I had an oil leak and was hoping it was minor. They were nice enough to diagnose my car minutes after I brought it in. Since they confirmed my suspicions that I needed only minor parts, I had them look at a rattling muffler. While I assume other dishonest mechanics would've tried to sell me on a whole new muffler, they offered to fix it without replacement. My car was finished early the next day on Saturday and charges were great compared to other work in the past. The service was extremely friendly on top of this as well. I will continue to use them for all of our auto needs.

Fast, reliable service, and competitive price. Much better than Good Year, and knowing exactly what was wrong. Love this shop

Great work, very fair price, order of magnitude less than Goodyear for example. I have taken all my cars there for repairs and will continue to do so.
