Liars, 2/26/2014

I test drove a 2002 Toyota Highlander. The vehicle was pulling to the right. I made that statement, and Bob Gavlick told me to let him know WHATEVER was wrong with the vehicle that he would need to... know since the car had not yet been through their inspection. Bob said Whatever it is, we will fix it. Its probably just an alignment issue but whatever it is, we will fix it. I want to make this deal right, well fix it. The next morning we made a deal on the vehicle, and I waited for the vehicle to be fixed and cleaned. Three (3) hours later I drove it off the lot it still pulled to the right. I took it back immediately, and they kept it; because, I didn't want to take it home not fixed, i knew they would never fix it. After i went back to the dealership, They aligned the car again, and it was still pulling to the right. They advised me they would not be fixing my car. If it took new tires, they were not going to replace them. They would lose too much money and they couldnt do that. I advised him what Bob had said to me and he said Bob didnt have the authority to promise me that. I advised this manger that wasn't my problem. I expect a man to keep his word. He asked me if I wanted to pull out of the deal and I told him yes if they didnt fix it. They replaced two (2) of my tires and it fixed the problem. But, they let me leave the lot, unhappy and with two different set of tires.

I've met my share of klutzes in the auto sales arena, but I have never experienced a dealership losing my order and deposit check. This is truly the gang who can't shoot straight.

Best service for my 4Runner

Gary Price has been servicing my 2004 4Runner since I moved to a north Georgia mountains community in early 2006. I wouldn't take it to anyone but Gary or the techs he has work on my truck - they identify the problems and fix them the first time. Now you have to keep in mind that the prices are what Toyota dealerships charge for parts and labor - but in this case Gary and his crew will see that you get what you paid for - and I've had just the opposite experience at other Toyota shops and independents. Gary is usually very busy (he has a lot of regular customers) but he will take the time to hear about your car's problems and explain what needs to be done. If you need Toyota service and are located anywhere near Canton, GA go to Cherokee County Toyota and ask for Gary Price - you will be glad you did.

RUDE Salesman!!!!!!!!!

Earlier this spring I was in the market for a new car. I went into Cherokee County Toyota. I had heard on the radio that most car dealers in Atlanta and around the nation were offering some amazing deals, rebates, cash back & sales prices. An older salesman walked over to me, I told him I was looking for a Corolla and was wondering what deals they had on them, new & used. He refused to tell me the deals. He asked what other cars I was interested in, and he steered me away from the lower end cars, like the Corollas. Instead bringing me over a Camry. I knew this car was out of my budget, and gas milage was lower than I wanted. I told him I did NOT want to test drive the Camry, and inquired about Corolla specials. The man got irate and angry telling me "if that is all you are interested in, is the financing & specials, we have nothing to talk about". He marched off. I could NOT believe it!!!!!!!!!! I left, and I am LIVID over the way I was treated. I took my business elsewhere, and bought a brand new Nissan, and got amazing deals & financing!!!! YOUR LOSS CHEROKEE TOYOTA!!! These clowns at Cherokee County Toyota did NOT deserve my business. That salesman was WAAAY off base for the way he treated me. I will NEVER darken the doors of Cherokee Toyota again!!!!!!!!!!!

A dealership that cares

We recently purchased our second vehicle from this dealership and was reminded why we continue to do business with them. After purchasing many vehicles in the past from other places, it is such a nice thing to have a no pressure experience. They make purchasing a new car truly painless. Thank you Paul (the best sales person ever) for yet another fantastic experience. Also, we used to have all vehicle service done at non-dealer shops until we started using Cherokee Toyota. The great prices and services they offer are a great value.

Great Service Department

I have gone back to these folks plenty of times for service - Being Toyota you will get the right parts and they do a great job. Sometimes a little spendy but the service is well worth it. I always try to get the same service person - Gary P - he is honest, does a great job and goes way out of his way to get the job done well and right.

" New Kids on the Block" !!!!!!!!

I must admit I have been on every internet website checking out the REALLY bad reviews. I was very hesitant to take my car here. I am a dyed in the wool toyota person, and I was having serious problems with my car and didn't know which way to turn. I talked to Gary Price( whom I have used since Cobb County Toyota days) in the service dept. He along with Jim Pyron(the new GM),Kenny Johnson(service tech), and Gary..came up with an amazing way to fix my car. My car has never run better, plus I have a guarantee on their work. If you have an issue with sales or the showroom, go directly to Jim Pyron, the new General Manager...he WILL make it right! If you have an issue in the service dept. go directly to Gary Price..he WILL make it right.Kenny Johnson,service technician...is off the charts a master! Before you badmouth these people on the internet,give the new kids on the block a chance...to earn your respect, your business, and your trust! They really are sooo serious about doing things right! Mike and Jim Perrin(owners) cleaned house! They got rid of the not so good and kept the awesome! Give these folks a shot..you will NOT be let down. I gave you the names of all the " BIG GUNS" to talk to if you have an issue. If you do not exhaust all of your efforts before you resort to the internet,you have NOT solved your problem. These people are trying very hard to win us back...at least give them a chance!

Toyota should pull their name off this one!!!

Toyota's are Great cars, but please avoid this dealership at all costs! I have several Lexus's and Toyota services them too- I will never get it serviced there again.

Bottom of the Barrel!

This place is really absurd. They overcharge for everything, give poor customer service. The manager doesn't care about anything except his bonus. I would go ANYWHERE else before going back here. I would rather drive a DAEWOO!

Nightmare Bad Business Avoid at ALL COST!

Having to give them one star was hard, they don't even deserve that! This dealership is operated by some very poorly skilled individuals. The GM argued with me about verifiable facts that I had issues with. They will do everything they can to always put their best interests before yours even when your problem is 100% their fault! Please shop elsewhere- buy a HONDA!

Avoid Service Deprartment at all cost. Mgr. Rude

Took my vehicle in back in October 08 to have back window repaired, They half way repaired and when problem recurred they said I would have to pay for Window to be replaced. Along with them creating problem Extended warranty I purchased through United Auto Care denied claim. Service Repair Manager got a horrible attitude toward me, and said since I had only been there once before they really did not care if I left and basically called me a liar concerning previous repair. For a company that is in an industry that is in trouble you would think they would make every effort to satisfy their customers. Unfortunitly that was not the case, I told Them to put my vehicle back together and I left. Horrible Experience. Will not step foot back in their store. Mike Parin who is the owner of Cherokee Toyota along with Cobb County needs to be aware of who he has working for him. Good Luck with your future business your going to need it. Signed very dissatisfied Customer.

Avoid Body Shop

Missed initial estimate by almost $3k. Missed Two week estimated repair time by 8 business days. Returned "Repaired" vehicle with several items billed as replaced still untouched/uninstalled. Avoid if possible Look Closely Ask Questions take it somewhere else!

Great service!

We bought our van at Cherokee County Toyota and have it serviced there regularly. We have had good experiences with the service department - particularly Gary Price, as mentioned by one other reviewer. You do pay dealer prices for the service, but they keep track on the computer of what you have had done, monitor for any warranty or recall work, etc. and try to get things done when you are already in the shop. They also run a local courtesy van to shopping, etc.

Great all around!

My family has had wonderful experiences at this dealership! We had a great experience buying 3 cars here and great experience with the service department (Gary Price in particular). Our next vehicles will come from here too! It is a breath of fresh air to deal with an honest dealership!
