Chimera Custom Cycles

Chimera is a true custom bike shop with knowledgeable and professional people. Whether you have been around bikes all of your life or have never had one, they will make you feel comfortable and at home. Not only is the service impeccable, but the craftsmanship and attention to detail is amazing. These guys know what they are doing and they know how to treat a customer. I have a night train that I bought a couple of years ago and Chuck lowered the rear end and put a set of LA Choppers pipes on it. I was not completely satisfied with the pipes so he took the Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes, which I love, off of his own bike and put them on mine for no extra charge. I challenge anyone to find a shop that will go that far to satisfy a customer. I am now trying to sell my bike so I can have them build a chopper for me. Every time I go into the shop I am just amazed at the bikes I see. You cannot look at one of these bikes without falling in love.

My husband and I found the Custom Harley Night Train on the Internet from Chimera Custom Cycles. (Pictures of Mr. Scary are on the website). We contacted Chuck Cabena for information and more pictures. We just loved the bike and had to have it! It took a leap of faith on both our parts, as this bike would have to be imported into Canada, sight unseen, never meeting one another. Over the course of the next six weeks, Chuck was with us every step of the way, through every bump and hurdle we encountered. He even found me a trucking company to transport the bike, as I was having no success on my end. Chuck was totally committed to getting the bike up to us. He went the extra mile to crate the bike himself to ensure that it arrived safely and undamaged. When the bike finally did arrive and we saw it for the first time, it far exceeded our expectations. What a beautiful wide tire ride! It is like no other that we have seen up here in Alberta. This Custom Harley gets a lot of attention. We have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone. We highly recommend Chuck Cabena and Chimera Custom Cycles to anyone who wants to own a bike they can be proud to ride.

How I met Chimera: needed a part and Custom Chrome listed Chimera and one other as a local distributorI emailed both and within a few hours I not only had a response from the owner of Chimera, but a link to an alternate part, explantion that the one I wanted was on terminal back order and the link let me buy direct from another distributor so he cut out himself as the middle man.

I bought that part and rode down to meet this guy that actually gave me service, very rare these days. To this day that other bike shop has NEVER returned that email. Since then Chuck Cobena and Chimera have done all the work on my bikes and built me an award winning one of a kind custom chopper soon to be featured in a national motorcycle magazine.

Finding a shop and a business owner like this is extremely rare.

I have used Chimera several times to make modifications to motorcycles I have owned, and found the work to be excellent. For example, I had Chimera install a set of Vance and Hines pipes on my VStar and rejet the carb. The work was done efficently and the cost was much less than what the dealer wanted. I have also had Chimera swap the original engine on my Pagasta scooter for a larger one. Now the scooter runs great. I highly recommend Chimera to anyone who needs motorcycle repair.
