After reading the reviews about Chito's on this site,on sheer faith I took my favorite pair of well worn boots to be repaired and have to say thanks to all the folks that posted reviews. You were right! He did such a great job, I didn't even recognize my old boots - they looked that new! Great price, excellent service and quick turnaround.

When I came to get my heels repaired, the gentleman in the store didn't speak english so I couldn't really tell him what I wanted done, I could only point and he would nod. When I came to pick my heels up, there was an english speaking woman who was very polite and friendly however what I wanted done to my heels of course were not done since I could not communicate with the first guy I met. What he did fix was good though (replaced the heel and cleaned the shoes.) Oh, and when I called for directions because I was lost, he couldn't give me directions either. A little frustrating but they do a good job.

Johnston & Murphy said it would take two weeks to resole and reheal my shoes. This place did it in 3 days. The price was fair: $60 (versus J&M's $115). The quality of work was also good. I noticed the sole stuck out a little more the original--about 2 millimeters. I also noticed some glue (I think) around the edges where it looks like the upper was attached to the sole. But I'm too anal retentive and these things are not noticeable to the average person. I'm also able to live with these things because they did the job so fast and everything else looks great. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my experience here and I'll be going back when these soles wear out. Oh and contrary to another comment on this page, both people I dealt with spoke English.

I've had boots and dress shoes re-healed and re-soled here several times. Every encounter has been professional, friendly and the shoes and boots just look great afterward. This shop goes the extra mile, e.g. my heel foundation was rebuilt without me having to ask for it. Great place.

super tiny - keep your eyes open, you may miss it passing down University Ave. Look for the neon shoe above the door. their prices are great and their service is quick - next day turnaround. i've been to those expensive computerized cobblers and i'll never go again after finding this place.
