The Chocolate Bar great eats drinks and sweets.
The Scene -- A warm and inviting atmosphere--russet walls, dark woods, exposed brick and a gleaming case filled with chocolate--entice lingering at this low-key boite and the staff doesn't mind at all. Servers are unabashedly enthusiastic and highly responsive; a slightly wrinkled nose brings a quick, cheerful fix. Sometimes you can catch a glimpse at the on-site chocolatier at work. -- -- The Food -- Light savories balance the sweets. The.. curried popcorn is genius snacking with a house-made limoncello cocktail or a watermelon cava spritzer. There is also Georgia pecan soup.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
With Chocolate Bar's yummy desserts and interesting noshes, it is a great place for a date. Especially cozy in the cooler months.
I tried this place with a group of friends, 7 friends to be exact. We shared our orders so that we could try a good amount of the menu. The truffles were good and the food was decent, but the... chocolate martini was the best I've ever had!!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

First off, let me say that I used to love this place back when the original chef and owner ran the place. I found it through one of John Kessler's reviews, and my boyfriend and I have spent many wonderful date nights there. When I found out the place had been sold, I braced myself for the worst. Unfortunately, it has become an empty shell of the classy dessert bar I used to love. It seems like the new owners dont take the quality of their product into consideration like the previous owner did. Even the 'artisinal' bon bons for which they were once known, have lost their appeal; they look ashy and taste chalky. The once seasonal menu has become stagnant and is the remains of a once good idea. Now, ruby tuesdays (right across the street) offers basically the same desserts, at half the price. Also, the service has slackened severly. I'd be surprised if this place is still open this time next year.

Did you ever want to know what kind of wine compliments chocolate? Who cares when you can have so much of it all in one place and its affordable. This place is like a little piece of heaven. Ladies takes your girlfriends and men take your wives!
