This is the only vet I have ever gone to with my dog Jack. The reason I have stayed with them for the past 4 or so years is because how amazing they are with my dog. They really do care about animals its not just a job for the people that work there its their passion. The don't see dogs as just animals but as little people.

My nervous dog had her first visit here today. The front desk staff was friendly and very professional. The vet was very knowledgeable and the vet techs were great with my nervous pup. Highly recommend Church St Animal Hospital.

The hospital is fairly close to my home so I thought I would take my dogs to get their annual shots there. The facilities were old and I felt the technology was too. The vet was fine. We were only getting shots but I wouldn't choose the place for my regular clinic.

Some things make an animal hospital stand out. I have used two other vets in the Decatur area and continued to search for "my" animal hospital until I found Church Street. In spite of their busy schedule, they actually include ME in my pet's wellness exams. They prefer that I stay with my pet during the exam, vaccinations and lab testing. I really like that. The veterinarians spend plenty of time with you and don't seem rushed. This is a great hospital and I would highly recommend it!

I've taken two dogs and a cat to Church Street for several years. The vets and staff are all very caring and skilled. Last year, I had to put one of my dogs down, and Dr. Fordyce cried with me. The only drawback I see is that you can wait for a while before being taken back to the exam rooms, but I think they are worth a short wait.

I have used CSAH for many years. I actually drive from Grayson to Decatur to use Dr. Fordyce. I appreciate the way she handles my animals. I always feel my pets receive the best medicine. My pets love the staff. CSAH is one of the few places I feel comfortable leaving my pet for boarding. I can actually enjoy my vacation knowing they are receiving the best care and extra attention provided by the staff.

I recently took my dog to be seen by Dr. Fordyce, as we were looking for a new vet since relocating to the area... I was APPALLED at house DIRTY the floors were.... It looked as though the floors were in desperate need of some bleach to disinfect the years of grime that had accumulated on them! We had to wait almost an hour to be seen, despite having an appointment, and the staff didn't really seem to care to be there... Upon being placed in an examination room, I immediately wished that I had my records back from the front desk and could simply walk out... There was so much dirt and hair that was sticking to the floorboards and cabinets, one had to notice that hygiene didn't seem to be of importance to the staff. I also found drops of dried BLOOD on the examination room floor.... who knows what a pet could contract from this DUMP. Dr. Fordyce was cordial, but nothing worth writing home about... My dog loves everyone, and wouldn't stop shaking when she came into the exam room. Too many things sent up warning flags... I will NOT recommend anyone going there for animal care.

Ok, so my cats don't like going to Church Street but the dog does - so I know they are in good hands! Dr. Fordyce is the best cat vet around, Dr. Silk is great with dogs, and both genuinely care about what they do. They'd rather put money towards new and better equipment to treat animals than fancy new computers for the office. That's the right priority for a vet to have.
