This is about the grooming services....one word...HORRIBLE! I took my 8 month Yorkie in for a "Trim" and got a cat in return. I spoke to the groomer prior to her appointment and specified what I wanted so I thought she should be ok, right? Wrong. When I saw my poor Yorkie, I thought wait a minute???!!!! Where is my dog? I don't know what the groomer was attempting to do but all I thought was did she mess up while trimming her hair & had to shave her instead? Even worse I actually paid $45 for this...I could have shaved her @ home. The groomer obviously did not know what she was doing. My poor puppy doesn't even look like a Yorkie anymore or even a dog for that matter...she looks like a cat or lion cub....worse of all, I don't like cats (sorry cat lovers). I think she needs more training & needs to learn how to groom yorkies. Hey groomer...have you ever heard of a puppy cut? Needless to say, I will never take my puppy here again. This place gets a one star b/c I can't give it a zero! I really, really regret bringing her here. :-( A million apologies to my puppy, Hershey. I can't wait for her hair to grow back.

Lindsey is top notch and really cares about quality & service. I have been taking my Cocker Spaniel there for over a year and Lindsey always does a fine job. She really listens to what you want (with spaniels, there are many options for cuts). And she makes sure you are happy. I've only ever had one small complaint and Lindsey insisted I bring my dog back in (at my convenience) so she could make us happy. When we showed up, she stopped what she was doing & took my dog back right away. I was there for less than 10 minutes before I was on my way back home with my dog. She is very accomodating and my dog, who hates going to the groomers, likes this place. I always encounter happy dogs when I'm there. I think a lot of pets think of it as more of a play date than the groomers. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It's hard to find people who care so much. I think the only down side of taking my dog to City Dog is the parking. It is right down town, though. So you kind of expect that.

Lyndsey and the crew at City Dog take great care of my pooches and treat them with love and affection every time they go. They are more than flexible and the dogs look spectacular every time they finish there. I havent found a better price for the service and I have tried a ton of different groomers in San Diego. I drive from Chula Vista to downtown to take them there because they are soooo worth it!

$25 for a full bath and grooming (Labrador Retriever) is a great deal. The fact the the quality and service is excellent makes this the best deal in town. Lindsey, the groomer, is awesome. And if they are booked, $10 for self wash using their tubs with free shampoo is the next best thing

The owner of City dog genuinely cares for the health and well being of your dog. He pointed out to me the horrible ingredients in some of the top name brand dog food that I was never aware of! He definitely knows his stuff! And the Groomer Lindsey is an AMAZING groomer! I took my puppy to a previous groomer in the college area, and everytime I picked him up from there he would be crying and whining the whole way home! Made me wonder exactly what she was doin to my poor dog. But this is definitely not the case with Lindsey! I picked him up after his grooming appointment last Saturday, and he was a happy little pup with a very professional looking hair cut!! They're definitely doin somethin right! I STRONGLY recommend City Dog to all pet lovers out there in San Diego!

I just discovered City Dog about 3 months ago and I love it there! The owners are very helpful and sweet. They really make my puppy & I feel at home when I am there but I don't have to the clean tub after I washed my dog.
