Rude/Unhelpful No Selection, 1/16/2010

This is the worst nursery I've ever been to, organic or not. The employees were rude and unhelpful. The plants were dried out and unhealthy looking and there was a poor selection of them. Not to... mention, how organic can you really be on a major crossroad and that close to a highway. Extremely disappointing, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

City Heights Gem, 8/07/2008

City Farmers Nursery is a wonderful place within the city. The owner, Bill Tall, is so sweet, friendly, and helpful. I feel like he is a wonderful big brother. He give a lot of help to the... community (like school gardens). By shopping at this nursery, you know you are giving back to the community as well. Bill also gives wonderful workshops at the nursery. The nursery is a beautiful, fun place to walk around.

Great nursery, great owner, great staff

Bill Tall has owned City Farmers for 30 years and lives on site. He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable about plants, and everything is organically grown. Bill reaches out to community groups and freely gives of his time and resources to promote gardening in San Diego, especially at schools and community gardens. He also offers free classes on various gardening topics.
