I recently visited with my boyfriend for a "nice" dinner. Everything was wonderful. I have a lot of food allergies, so I tend to have a hard time going out to eat. I made sure they knew when I made the reservation. Chef Broom came out & talked to me about what I can & can't have. (this is one of my favorite things when I go out) He made sure that everything I ordered was safe & even made some special things to go along with my appetizer. The cheese plate, Lamb Lollipops, Springer Chicken, & Lava Cake were all wonderful. The Chef even brought us each a special baked oyster. Overall it was just a great meal with great service. I would go back if chef Broom was working. He really made it a special dining expierence for me.

City Grille is an elegant restaurant housed in a former Federal reserve Bank building. It is beautifully decorated with Italian marble, gorgeous chandeliers, and a grand staircase to the balcony. The lamb lollipops appetizer were superb, wonderfully seasoned and perfectly presented to my order of just slightly more cooked than medium. I had the house salad vinaigrette that was just light and creamy enough to allow the flavor of the greens, tomatoes, and fried onions to come through. The hostess explained the differences between the 3 cheeses on the cheese plate. The tiny grapes and strawberries provided sweet bursts of flavor to contrast with the cheeses that my wife had. My main course was the springer chicken, also delightfully seasoned, tender and moist thanks to its tomato broth base and vegetable accompaniment. All of the flavors complemented each other. Who knew that a simple chicken dish could be prepared so well? My wife had venison for the first time. As well prepared as this, served on a bed of orzo and colorful squash, it won't be the last. Two desserts overwhelmed: the homemade cheesecake with raspberry glaze, and the decadent chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. We must compliment John Paul our waiter. He was congenial, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us a tour of the kitchen before dinner along with the history of the restaurant which was fascinating. His service was excellent.

The quality of the food and the level of service is commensurate with the price. Beautiful setting and classy environment - definitely upscale.

I recently hosted a dinner and reception for my company and was thoroughly impressed. Joey is the Sales Manager and he was so professional and helpful with every detail. The food was great and the service was excellent as well. It was so good in fact that I am hosting our Holiday Party at City Grill too.

I went here during restaurant week once. We weren't seated until an hour after our reservation time. While the servers were nice, it was clear that the restaurant had accepted too many reservations and was slammed. The food was okay, but the overall experience was disappointing and felt rushed.

WOW, Recently I was delegated to plan a special event dinner/reception for my company and Joey and Stephanie at City Grill were the best! They could tell that I was totally out of my element with planning details and such so they just took care of everytthing. They planned the menu, selected the wines, had menus printed with my companies logo, and even had an arrangement of my Supervisors favorite flowers on the table! The food was great and the service was spot on! I am now in the process of booking our Holiday event at City Grill and cannot wait to see how they can top my Corporate dinner! Well Done!

The restaurant was nice and the service was good, but the cuisine was just okay. I am not sure if the prices are well matched with the quality of the food. Overall it was average.
