Loved it!, 8/22/2013

I have taken other photography classes before but have never learned as much as I did with Jody! She made it so easy and all come together! Highly recommend her class to anyone wanting to learn how... to use your camera on manual. Can't wait for the next class!!

it finally "clicked", 8/11/2011

I have had a DSLR camera for 4 years now. I have read numerous books, blog posts, and my camera manual multiple times. However, the basics of digital photography did not really "click" until this... class. The hands-on approach is really what I needed. Jody and Elizabeth are confident and enthusiastic about the content of the class. You will leave this class excited and encouraged that you have the camera, and the ability to take great pictures! Can't wait for my next class with Click Workshops! Thanks girls!

Great workshop

These workshops are invaluable if you want to learn how to use your camera properly. A classroom part to teach and a hands on part to master. I can't recommend Click Workshops enough. Jody and Lori are entertaining as well. The afternoon was fun and knowledgeable.

Just enough to be dangerous

I've had my digital SLR camera for four months and never took it off Automatic. In about 3.5 hours, I was shooting on manual and understanding the concepts behind what I was doing. Lori and Jody strike a great balance between teaching what you want to know and need to know without going way over students' heads. I hope to take more classes in the future.

Very Informative

I attended the Beginners photography class taught by Lori and Jody last fall. I learned so much in such a short time. I had no clue how to use my digital camera but left feeling very confident. I thought it was very helpful that Jody shoots with a Canon and Lori shoots with a Nikon. Having both perspectives was nice. The workshop was very insightful and hands on. I have used the book from the course many times since attending the class. It provides great reminders and instruction. I give this workshop an A++!

Amazing class!

I took the beginner class, after two years of taking photos on "auto" mode with my DSLR camera and being completely disappointed with my pictures. I am so glad I took the class! Jody and Lori made it so easy to understand the basics and were very hands-on and patient with all of the students. I love that they taught specifics to both Canon and Nikon users. I am already taking better pics of my girls and cannot wait to take the advanced class!

Great beginner DSLR class

I took the beginner photography class with Click Workshops and loved it! I just bought a Canon DSLR camera and had no idea what to do with it. After just 4 hours, I was able to shoot in manual mode and take such great pictures of my kids! I highly recommend this workshop!

Auto to Manual in 4 hours! (and understand it!)

After the birth of my daughter a year ago I decided that it was time that I took my dadís professional cameras off of the shelf, blow the dust off, and start documenting every moment. I thought that the pictures that I took were pretty decent ones, until I took the Click Workshops introduction to photography class. As the daughter of a photographer / photofinisher it is assumed that I already know everything about cameras and how to get great shots but, I have had my camera on auto since I took it off of the shelf. I had a super fast crash course with a friend in order to get good Santa pictures without the flash (semi-manual), but didnít understand much of what I was told. I wasnít sure how in 4 hours I was supposed to understand my camera well enough to take it off of that ďsafeĒ auto setting. I was amazed (and pleasantly surprised) at just how much knowledge I took away from the class and the fact that I can shoot in manual mode now. No, Iím not anywhere near pro status and Iím very thankful for my cheat sheet book that I can refer back to, but at least now I can take the leap. There is a lot of practice in my future, but lucky for me I have a ton of friends with children that I hope to practice on. Thank you Jody and Lori for doing all of the dirty work in researching the different classes out there that are offered and putting it in the simplest of terms (with analogies!) for me to understand and for your constant support as I discover the world of MANUAL MODE!

Workshops Have Opened My Eyes to the Possibiltiies

Like so many people, I invested in a quality camera but never bothered to read the manual to take it out of automatic. Upon attending both the Beginner and Advanced Click Workshops, I now have more confidence and more control in taking the pictures I want to take. I've always had a "good eye," but this knowledge is like seeing the entire field at one time. Their calm caring manner and team teaching style makes the class experience what it is--fantastic!

Quickest way to go from Auto to Manual

I learned more in just a few hours at the Beginner course than in the months I spent reading books and perusing websites. I'm now the resident family & friend photographer and have signed up for the Advanced course.

Great experience!

I recently attended the Click Workshop beginners class. It was a great experience! I learned so much in the class, and really felt like I finally have a better grasp on how to use my camera (after owning it for 2 years!). I'm excited to see what the advanced class is like!

Apeture, ISO, Shutter Speed...say what?

I was overwhelmed when I walked into the workshop - big heavy camera with a lot of different options and a thick manual. I was expecting to hopefully learn more and not have to take aspirin for a headache. Immediately the tone of the class was set and it was obvious it was going to be hands-on and it would make sense. The instructors were amazing - funny, helpful and just put everyone at ease. I still go back to the materials. Anyone who wants to take their camera off Auto should take advantage of this workshop!
