We were customers for several years before the new owner/vet took over. Very over-priced. Even the simple things like the yearly exam and shots cost $250 (2 dogs). I went to Pet Vet a mile away and paid $140 (2 dogs). I sent a friend there because he needed a vet and both the vet and the staff treated him like crap. Everything required extensive tests (which immediately tells me they have no clue and are inexperienced). And they wont give you a Rx so you can save money; you must buy it from them. Do yourself a favor and find another vet. Wish Dr. Candy and Dr. Marlene were still around!!!

They will talk you into things you don't need for your pet and the way they word things makes it sound free or really cheap. Then you go pay and its 100's of dollars more then you where expecting. There where nice but I feel like I got scammed.I even called around to make sure and yes very over priced some couldn't believe how much they had charged for that service.I would find someone more honest.

I WAS happy with this vet when I used them for shots, but don't go there if your pet gets sick. They called me at 5pm and told me to come pick up my dog and take her to an emergency vet since she would probably need a transfusion overnight. They closed at 6pm and I was over an hour away. I asked why they didn't check her blood count earlier so they could give her a transfusion there. I was told that they didn't do transfusions unless the blood count was lower but it was close. I was told I would have to be there by 6, or I couldn't pick her up and they would lock up for the night. They finally said they would do me the favor of waiting for me for 15 min to pick her up. A transfusion at an emergency vet would be $1100, but they could have given me the choice to have one there for $200-300, but they didn't give me that choice. She made it through the night but died the next day. They made it sound like she would be fine with treatment. I found out later that only 50% with that condition even live, much less have a good quality of life. Completely incompetent!

The staff and doctors at CMAH are very knowledgable and care deeply about their clients' pets. If they are equipped to handle a case, they will send you to a specialist in the area. However, most if not all things can be done at this office. They are true professionals that love animals and the value is really good!
