Good day, My name is Antionette Johnson and on Dec 16, I had my first office visit. The office was very clean and neat. The staff was very nice and provided care promptly however, I was very dissatisfied with the treatment service. I set the appointment up for a cleaning and when I left the office, this service was not provided for some odd reason I never heard before. I knew when I set down in the treatment room something was wrong because I did not see the cleaning product setup like other offices. After leaving the officeI knew I will never return and requested my X-ray. I give this office a half a star for the friendly staff members. Oh by the way, for wasting my time, I will paste this review on google search engine review of your office. Antionette

I went for the first time in August. 2 hours, yes 2 hours for the first exam, which I got nothing out of! No care plan, but Dr. Parris did say I needed 4 crowns and 3 fillings. Why? I don't know, this was not explained to me. I said I would never go back, they basically begged me to come back to see the new doctor that would be there the following week, so I did. Everything went ok in this visit, saying that I only needed 1 filling and 2 crowns. Still no testing or explanation as to why (on the 2nd crown). Set an appointment for a cleaning, which was today. Yes, I was a little late, but they got me in right away. She tried adding a fluoride treatment at $45.00, I'm 26, I do not need fluoride as a preventative. The cleaning was very painful, never numbed the gums even when I was cringing from the pain. Then to top it all off she left, yes stopped the procedure, to go see another patient! I sat in the chair for 10 minutes before calling the office from my cell phone asking where she had gone. I ended up walking out half way through! I will never return, and I warn you to seek another office.

I loved Dr Gilbert and the whole staff when he was the dentist there. But without warning he transfered and we were left with a sorry replacement. Dr Parris is rude, and his assistant acts like he doesn't know what he's doing! I have never been so insulted as I was in that office when Dr Parris complained about my perfume and then asked his assistant to spray the room with me still in it with air freshener or he wouldn't be back to work on my teeth! I told him not to bother, and to kiss my a**! Then walked out!! I will never go back there again and neither will anyone I know!

Worst dentist I have ever been to see. The office manager, if that is what is what you would call her may be the most unprofessional person I have ever met. Rude doesn't even begin to properly explain her actions. They are out to charge you for as many different things as possible to run up the bill. They are not concerned about your care or satisfaction, they only care about how much money they can get out of each person. They are an organization that gives a bad name to the entire dentistry practice. I wouldn't take my dog there...

I never bother with this sort of thing but in this case I will. Being from the UK coupled with an abnormal fear of Dentists (2strikes) I have a few dental issues. I have found Dr Gilbert to be Professional, Understanding & above all a nice guy. The staff are also good people. As I have no understanding of the mechanics of dentistry, all I can say to this is that the people seam to know what they are doing, I have no complaints so far & that the facility seams clean which I think must be important. As for price goes, all seems fair to me, in fact I have experiance in running a business or two & have wondered about the profitability of such a practice. OK, the cute tooth cleaner girl tried to sell me a supercharged tooth brush. So what! They have to make a buck somewhere!

I have been to this place 4 times. The first time I was overcharged, and it took 12 months to get my $65 back... that's absurd. Most recently, however - I elected NOT to get the $44 fluoride treatment, as I was told I'd have to pay for it. When reviewing my insurance claim later, I learned that they billed my insurance company anyway, and were paid for it! I will never return to Coast.

It is very clear that this dentist is very corporate controlled and just seeking additional revenue, often times hiding charges such as oral cancer screenings that insurance will not cover. Also they utilize scare tactics in dealing with their patients to get them to have work done completely in as few visits as possible. I have witnessed employees talking about other franchise locations bringing in more revenue and that they needed to step things up a bit etc. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this practice if your looking for a caring dental practice and not a buncha bs doc in the box experience.

I don't recommend this dental office based on the 3 instance. The first time , Staff in this this office told me that my insurance company covers the services they suggested, but I was surprised I have to pay for it later because it's not true. The second time, when they suggested preventative services to me and told me that are covered by the insurance company, I asked them to verify them and it turns out it's not covered. The third time, it happened in Dec 2005, my bridge was lose and needed to be recement. They chargeed me $280 ($70x4) because there are 4 units. When I verified with the Metlift Insurance company, the rep told me that they should only charge $70. The recetionist in the dental try to block my claim when she does not even know what i am talking about. I have sent a register mail and am waiting for the feedback from them now. Since then I have switched my dentist.

Staff was courtesy and professional but believe that in the interest of additional revenue, unnecessary treatments and visits were receommended. Teeth whitening service wasn't very effective.
