This dentist is ridiculously EXPENSIVE for the services provided. Although they'll indicate they'll accept your insurance, they'll tell you when you're in the chair that they don't accept the quality of product your insurance accepts and charge you an astronomical rate for what they say is superior! Then, your teeth will hurt for months and months afterward because they don't get the fit or bite right. This was a terrible and expensive experience - don't make the same mistake I did!

I have never been to a dentist where they made you sign papers saying you would pay while you are still in the chair. The diagnoses was probably correct but he wanted to sell me a REALLY expensive crown even though I was on a discount plan that called for a price a couple hundred $ less than what he quoted. The equipment did not work properly. I won't be back.

My husband had been told by his old dentist that he needed to have gum surgery. For a couple of years after that, he just refused to even see a dentist. He didn't want the pain or the expense of gum surgery. Finally, I knew we had to find a very competent dentist who would not charge an arm and a leg, and who would not automatically recommend the most expensive treatment out there. Dr. Smith and his staff are AWESOME. I cannot say enough good things about them. Dr. Smith's expertise and experience, the prices, the payment plan, the care, the knowledge, and the solutions - all have been great! My husband is in excellent hands at Coast Dental on Sandy Plains. Highly recommend them.

When I called to make the appointment, I told them I had dental insurance. They said "no problem". During my "first" visit, they took a g-zillion x-rays. They did a cancer screen and said I needed my took repaired. The bill came to $124. They didn't even CLEAN MY TEETH. I had to make another appointment for that. When my insurance statement came back, NOTHING WAS COVERED. I owed DR. Smith $29 MORE!! Needless to say, I paid the $20 to pick up my x-rays and I am going some where else to get my teeth cleaned.

Staff was always very nice and pleasant however they charged me twice for services I already paid for. Thank goodness I saved my receipts and provided them proof that I had already paid and mistake was cleared immediately. I do feel they performed services that were not needed. At the time I had terrible dental insurance so I had to pay out of pocket for those. They also pressured me into buying all these other cleaning supplies that I didn't need. I am not a patient there anymore.
