I've been to maybe 5 dentists over the past 15 years. They old told me about the same thing, that I was "a bleeder" and told me I needed to brush / floss better. No matter how much I brushed and flossed, my gums would still bleed alot when I went to the dentist. The gum specialist at coast suspected I had a resilient hard to kill gum infection and prescribed a double anti-biotic regimen. I am SO HAPPY!! After 15 years, I finally got the problem fixed... and it has stayed fixed for over a year now. If your gums bleed despite taking GREAT care of your teeth, you've got to see this guy. Make sure you request him when you call, he only comes in once or twice a week.

I had to go here because it was on my dental plan. They basically told me that I almost had gingivitis and that I needed to buy their rinse. I also overheard them telling another patient the same exact thing while I was there. They were very brisk with me and careless about my pain level and talked down to me. Even though Aetna was supposed to cover a routine cleaning and a filling, I got a bill for over $500 that they said Aetna didn't cover (which I had to pay up front at the appt.) Also, my filling cracked and broke off only a few days after they put it in. I will never go back here again and I will warn others.

These people are nuts. I went for a simple cleaning. When they proposed several hundred dollars of work, I asked them to compare Smile Plus with my Delta Dental to see which as better. They claimed the computers were down but would check. I followed up later that day and several days later and was told they would call back. They never did. They then sent a bill for an additional $50 (over the $162 I already paid for a cleaning). I didn't pay the bill but called and asked if they had checked Delta yet. They would call me back. Never did. I received receipts from Delta showing they paid them $61. I think, I should have a credit. Nope. They claim I paid them an addition $65 (I have no record of any payment beyond the $162.) and I have a "0" balance. Where is the $15? Never got an answer. They say they never filed with Delta. I was told this billing fiasco was created because I told them I had Smile Plus. Horrible experience.

These people are horrible, horrible, horrible. They over billed me and price-gouged me. They are cheats. The staff turnover if constant. The receptionist is a jerk with a TOTAL attitude, and she ain't all that, so it is completely surprising why and where she comes up with the jerk-y attitude. After I complained with the idiot office GUY (yes, the guy in the office) about their price gouging and over-charges, after weeks and weeks of calls to make sure I was getting money back, the office sent me a letter *firing me* from their practice. Completely unbelievable, horrible people.

My job recently changed my dental plan and I was forced to find a new dentist. The closest provider since I live in Lenox Park based on my plan was Coast Dental. I called there to make an appointment however due to an error in my "reporting process" at Aetna they didn't have a current "roster" with my name, said the receptionist. Although my coverage could be verified that very day, they insisted I wait a week to schedule my appointment. I intially refused this request because my appointment would be well after the week they suggested I wait and the receptionist was very rude. I called back to speak to someone else and she pretended to be the office manager. I thought that was very silly and decided to take my business elsewhere. I called another provider and they happily allowed me to make an appointment although my name was not on the current roster and my appointment would be after they received a roster with my name.

In a strip mall - didn't realize this was a chain. Sat in their chair for an hour and a half and never received my first scheduled cleaning from them. After 16 x-rays (most dentists take 4) and a lengthy and painful "exam", they refused to clean my teeth unless I started their expensive & not covered by insurance 'treatment' of a prescription rinse & a medication for potential future gum problems. I walked out. Went to another reputable dentist who said my teeth & gums were in perfect condition and performed my regular cleaning. I will never return to Coast Dental, would not recommend & am reporting this location to my Insurance company & the ADA.
