Worst school I've ever stepped foot in, in my life. Dirty, rude, and FAKE. If you ever get told something expect the opposite and that includes graduating on time. Oh and don't trust the good reviews. They're Gail. She usually puts quotes or statistics in her reviews claiming she's a customer. Something a normal person wouldn't know. Oh and "Beautyschoolgirl27" is probably her too since her username says she goes to school but only got her hair cut and colored.... Why not do it at your own school? Ha. Caught.

Coming to Cobb Beauty College is the best decision I've EVER made. I read lots of reviews but decided to make my own decision. Here they not only care about my education and my career, they especially care for me as a person and my LIFE success. Ms. Gail Little, the owner, and the lead instructor Beckie Cargle always have time for me and make sure I'm fully prepared for my State Boards. No wonder they have a 100% pass rate on the cosmetology Licensing Exam.

I am a former student from 2002... LET ME START BY SAYING I NOW OWN MY OWN SALON AND MAKE SIX FIGURES... SO I AM VERY SUCCESSFUL!!! Gail is only concerned about money and "slave" labor... I paid 9500 and got to my graduation date and because I wasn't "finished" with my hours she kicked me out of school... however, nobody ever finishes in time because they cheat you on your hours and never let you know where you are with your hours as they are suppose to... they will tell you if you go over than you can just pay extra $ per hour but they don't tell you that they can just let you go without finishing too... I transfer for my last 300 hrs to Roffler (now toni and guy) and learned more there in a couple months than I did in a year+ at Cobb... It was a horrible, terrible experience!!!!!!! Not good instruction and Gail is a wolf in sheeps clothing!!!

The truth is, you cannot get the real review on this school from this site! The people that work there write them, giving good reviews due to the poor reviews...They had some of the worst true stories removed. Attend there and experience it for yourself if you don't believe the negative views! Good luck.

I've been at Cobb for a little over a year now. I've had my own personal ups and downs as a student. The one thing I have to say is they never give up on me... Every time I've talked to the owner she's been nothing but complementary about my work and never slow to be honest about how it is in the real world. She doesn't " sugar coat" it, and for me that's a real positive. We are all adults and should be able to handle constructive criticism. I think that's what most of the negative comments are about. I've grown to really truly care about every student and all of our teachers. We are more like a big family. Essentially this is a job more then school. You have to put forth effort in a job and you do here as well. I have learned so much here and I've put a lot of work into this school, in return I have been offered an internship upon completion of my schooling at a top 3 salon in buckhead. Don't believe everything you read. Cobb might not be right for you but they have so much to offer at least come look for yourself! Pros: owner , teachers, color and cutting specialists on Wednesday and thursday, flexible schedule, let's you get the most accurate feel for a salon environment, great learning environment. Cons: parking! , school looks a bit dated but don't let that discourage you! They are talking about updates soon!!!

I selected Cobb Beauty College for its flexibility in scheduling. They were the only school in the area that was willing to work with my demanding schedule. Because of that I was able to manage both my home life and school life. The school does have a lot of rules and regulations, but what established organization doesn't? As a student I understood that the rules and regulations were enforeced to ensure that the school runs in a smooth and efficient manner. The under 250 instructor has such a passion for what she does and is a remarkable teacher. Not only is she knowledgeable of the industry, but she is also understanding, compassionate and approachable. I was privledged to work with other instructors who were remarkably talented (the haircutting and color specialists). The school has a family-friendly environment which was another factor that I considered upon enrollment. In addition to earning an education and building clientele, I was able to build lasting relationships with several students. Last but not least, I think the school is headed in the right direction - towards growth and development. There is currently a new director who is striving for excellence in customer service - both from a student aspect and a client aspect. Not everyone fits the environment of every school. You can't please everyone, but I do suggest you visit the school and make the determination for yourself.

In my investigation the alligations that is made here is in plan truth is a ball face lier. She is one of those that don't go to school. attendence is unsatisfacotry when she went. Never there when hours are given out.Doesn"t keep up with her achievements on a daily basic like all others. This school is an outstanding school with high regards to top salons in the industry. Some students drop out and owe dues to the buisiness or establishment and the only way they can get back is to badger the buisiness. what it comes down to cupcake you are lazy and don't won't to face reality. So my suggestion to you is get a real job. and leave those that work hard to better themself. For I know who you are and its best to stop with bagering others. get off welfare and medicaid and get a real job and stop being a failure to society.IF ANY BUISINESS NEEDS HELP WITH BADGERING JUST EMAIL ME AND I WILL HELP..I WILL CHECK IT OUT.IT IS FREE.

As a current student in my opinion, I do NOT recommend this school. It's extremely stressful being here because its hard to get your hours and to find out where you are, they don't act friendly about it at all when you have questions and nobody ever graduates on time everybody is kept way past the contract dates and I see a lot of upset students because they are not given answers. We're treated like we work for them or something instead of being at school and I don't like that. Its not what I expected school to be.

Last Friday was my last day at CBC...I graduated in 12 months and 2 weeks. Friday was a bittersweet day for me, I will miss everyone at the school - so much. But I'm ready to start my career. I can't say enough good things about CBC - from the teachers to the owners and to the student body - they are all my family now. I hope to spend a year out there in the real world and then return to become a student teacher - maybe some day I will work at CBC...I can only wish. If you are considering this school, please enroll. You will be held accountable, responsible and to the highest standards in the south east! These guidelines make you professional, able to learn in a "family" like environment, gain client service experience and most of all - the license to service anyone that you want by doing any cosmetology service you choose!!!! Thank you to everyone at CBC - I love you all.

As a Student here if I had it to do over again I would not chose to go to a family owned and run beauty school. It wasnt a good decision on my part because To me it seems that If they like you then you will do ok but if you question anything there or complain then things might not look as good for you and i dont like that.

EVERYONE needs to go to Google and check out the people they think is friends and Google them . And view the comments on so called friend. Which is sham artist that is being investigated by the state. That has been taking money for animals. This is a real con that wants to tare down hard working people with goals in there life. And take what they can not earn there money the hard way days pay. My line of work is investigations and ensure the safety and welfare of the public, To keep an eye on them you mint say.. And the real Con will have her day and the justice will catch up to her in the following months a head. It looks as if she is up to her old self again. I am asking the public to look up and see the artist at work on Channel five news along with a few others that is investigating this lady,. You need to quit your night job sweet heart. because we are keeping an eye on you. Be careful what you do on line it will show the world the real con she will have her justice more then you will believe.God has said it in the 10 commencements. and 2 of them will be judge. Th all shall not steal, and do not comment false witness against your neighbors. And the real judgment will come in your own time. Everything you do in life. Comes back in tenfold.Cobb Beauty College has a 100% passing rate with the board that I have found in my investigations, I see no wrong doing on there behalf except trying to lead people as leader in there profession, SO KEEP IT UP JUSTICE!

My first experience with Cobb was with my niece, who was quoted a price before services, but then the price was jacked up the moment her hair was touched, without consulting with her mother for an increased price for the services. Despite this incident, I gave CBC the benefit of the doubt and enrolled as a student because I was referred there by my employer. One month into being enrolled at CBC, an instructor quit, leaving the classroom instructor to supervise the floor and classroom students; the floor students got priority while the class students were ignored and told to work on our mannequins...how do you work on a technique you aren't taught? After a month of complaining to the owner and director, with promises of resolution, I finally requested to withdraw from this nightmare, only to discover that the nightmare had just begun. CBC was demanding $7,500 in tuition for 8 weeks I was enrolled (4 weeks of which I was without an instructor and without the education I was paying for), and they subsequently harassed my employers until I was fired from my job as a result. CBC may be cheap on prices, but they are scam artists as far as education is concerned. I am in contact with the Department of Education, and Board of Cosmetology as well as local news stations to expose this school and prevent this from happening to other hopeful cosmetology students.

I have been going to the Cobb Beauty College for years for hair services. This last time I went the stylist brought in the supervisor and tried to "upsale" me on the services I had requested. They went on and on about how bad my hair was that I got up and left without having anything done I had never been treated that way before. I would not recommend their services at this time. Maybe they need a new supervisor.
