A group of friends and I went to Cocktail Cove to celebrate my sisters birthday. Our server was extremely obnoxious. She kept pushing for our group to buy shots. Being a bartender myself, I understand the "upselling" but she went overboard with it. We went inside to enjoy some dancing and requested a a few songs and the DJ told me that my requests were too "Black." I asked him to repeat himself because I thought I heard the wrong thing, but in fact I was correct. He once again stated that his boss wanted him to limit the Hip Hop and Rap because they did not want to turn the Saturday nights into a majority black because thats what happened on Sundays! Although I am hispanic I took extreme offense to this. It was a complete buzz-killer. Then to end the night, when we asked for our tabs, we were double charged for everything!! $18 for a 3 oz shot of Patron, $13 for an Absolute and Cranberry, $75 for four Jack and Cokes. It was AWEFUL! Even after speaking with the manager, all he did was tell us that in fact we were under charged because the server claims to have forgotten to ring in a few drinks, which was BS!! We were told that if we did not pay the bills they would call the cops. A friend of mine said she has had that same issue with Cocktail Cove herself in the past. She has been over charged and will no longer go there. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! IF YOU DO GO, PAY EACH DRINK AS YOU GET THEM AND ASK HOW MUCH IT IS BEFORE THEY MAKE IT!!
