I have seen this place under THREE owners now and I must say the third time is a charm! Mechanicsville finally has a great coffee shop to call home. It's kid friendly which is great because I'm a mom. They have lots of games, books, kid friendly drink options, and even a bookshelf for kids to draw on :). They have a deli style menu chalked on the wall and the sandwiches are stacked high with quality meats! I had their Sailor sandwich the other day and I don't think I'll ever find another one that compares. Overall there is an artsy and eclectic feeling and the music is always interesting and set at a comfortable volume. I'll see you there sometime!

Oh man, if you have not been into Coffee Lane lately, it's time you give this place a second...or should I say third chance(Third Owners as of Feb)! They're serving up the most creative, hefty, quality sandwiches I have ever seen. I'd recommend the Monte Cristo or the Turkey 'Rachel'. All their sandwiches cost around $3 less than Riverbound Cafe and their portions are bigger, even the sides are like a meal! The coffee is out of this world and the barista knows her stuff. Give this place a chance to impress you, it definitely impressed me!

I certainly didn't expect a nasty attitude from the manager / owner when I let her know the tea I ordered was rancid. I also didn't expect the hostility toward my friend and me when we mentioned it took 50 minutes for our measly turkey on wheat sandwiches to be prepared. What she did was kick us out. She kept my money AND called the cops when all we wanted lunch. Good customer service? I don't think so. HOW'S THAT FOR BUSINESS?
