Patient for thirteen years. Arrived 21 minutes late for appointment after encountering a traffic accident. Called answering service to advise of situation and was informed office did not open til nine (appt. was for 8), they had no way to contact office and that they had a built-in leeway for being late. When I arrived, rude receptionist said only 15 minutes allowed and as I was 21 minutes late , I would have to reschedule for another day. There was one patient in the waiting room. Since this was the second bad experience in less than a year, I determined Dr. Cohen and his staff care little about common sense and courtesy. I switched doctor's immediately, got help that day and realized one need not put up with shoddy service.

I had an appt and ended up waiting in the waiting room for well over an hour. The receptionist NEVER once mentioned they were behind when I checked in. Very unprofessional. It turns out the doctor had been on vacation the week prior and was backed up. I'm sorry but a over an hour wait time is ridiculous. Plus Dr. Cohen's nurse is VERY unfriendly.

I was initially referred to Dr. David Cohen by Dr. Rolf Meinhold for a nerve conduction test to validate carpal tunnel on my right hand. Once validated, Dr. Cohen referred me to orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Frank Joseph. He also referred me to ocular surgeon, Dr. Neufeld of the Thomas Eye Group to examine a small growth on my lower left eyelid. This was my first time to see a neurologist and my timing seemed perfect. Soon I found myself in the emergency room with almost incapacitating under arm and shoulder pain on my left side which Dr. Cohen diagnosed as brachial plexitus and treated me to a pain-free state. Within just a few weeks of this episode, I was again in need of a neurologist when I was unexpectedly hospitalized with viral vertigo. Although I have not always been seen on time at his office for my appointments, Dr Cohen has always provided me with an excellent quality of care. Furthermore, Dr. Cohen has always been very attentive, thorough, and personable. I have found his office staff to also be very responsive, friendly, and eager to demonstrate their willingness to go above and beyond in patient care. In fact, after he prescribed medication for treating brachial plexitus with a confusing schedule of altering days and doses, his staff nurse provided me with a two-month calendar indicating an exact schedule with doses. As such, I would certainly highly recommend Dr. David Cohen to any friends, family, and others in need of neurological services.
