Took a month to get service, 8/10/2013

We have had Comcast for 20+ years. It has been fine...speed is good.. no problems except the packages are priced high compare to other companies. Moving into a new house and it has taken them at... least 3-4 weeks to get us connected. They use different contracting companies for different tasks (ex one company takes care of activating the boxes outside and an another company deals with the inside installation.) They blame each other when something goes wrong... and nothing gets done. We as the customer has to 'micro-manage' them to get the right people showing up. It has been a horrible experience. The people who come out are grumpy too.. not customer-oriented service people. Comcast needs to look at who they are hiring to deal with customers. Unfortunate for us as customers... we don't have a lot of choices of providers.

The people complaining are dumb rednecks who don't know how to work their own service. I have had it for years and I work there. Don't believe these old rednecks. They're simply afraid of the... future. Sorry Oldies but you are afraid of change.

Took 7 weeks to get request filled

We requested 2 new outlets and an HD box...more money for Comcast. It took 4 visits and a trip to Comcast store over 7 weeks! The sole good point was the chat feature on Comcast's website. I could remain cordial in a chat session versus if I'd called them. How can a company be this bad?

This comapny could get their wonderful digetal TV to work, so they took their magic box and left. * months later I still love me for it and I have to prove I don't have it~! This is a great co. ~!

Be carefull what they say is NOT what you get

First of all thier Internet is FAST but they limit how much you can upload / download and exceeding this limited will cause you to get banned for 1 year. Second thier cable claim the most HD available. They include their "On Demand" programs as channels so when they say hundreads of "HD Offerings" this is NOT 100's of channels and their HD channels are compressed so they are not a HD as say satellite HD channels. Compression causes blurriness.

Poor quality, service, value

Half the channels don't work. They won't come out and fix it. They cost too much and sneak in extra charges. I plan to fire them.

Great Technician (Terry) but poor customer service

5 stars to Terry who came to troubleshoot poor signal with our cable TV. After seeing the pixelation that we had been experiencing, he new exactly what was wrong and added an amplifier. Although it was around 8pm, Terry spent the time to walk my husband through the issue and check the connections to the rest of the house. Why couldn't the original installer do this two weeks ago? Kudos to Terry! Can't say much about customer service since they cancelled our first troubleshooting appointment without telling us and made us feel that it was a great imposition on them to re-schedule. How many times do we have to say we are sure we need a technician when we are paying for pixelated cable signal? Would rate Comcast customer service zero stars but Terry brighten our day.

The evil empire

Commie Cast as many like to refer to it as is overpriced with service that can be spotty at times. With a lack of other options though you are stuck with limited choices for internet and cable tv. So much for an open market.
