We have always loved the Conch House for it's location alone. We never really paid much attention to the service... it always seemed adequate. Our last stay there was a great letdown. We had planned to stay two nights but after the first night discovered that the room was infested with Bed Bugs. We collected some in a glass and brought them to the front desk. At first they tried to ignore us, but we finally persuaded them to refund our money. I got the feeling that they knew the room had the bed bugs when they rented it to us... at $220 a night I might ad. We immediately went to a laundry mat and spent an entire day of our vacation washing our bed bug infested things. Did I mention we have a 6 month old. We assumed we were safe. But today... a week later I found bites on my body and discovered that they have somehow made there way back to our home. Thank you Conch House, we should send you the extermination bill.

What a waste, great location overlooking the salt marsh on Anastasia Island, but mediocre food and bad service have always made this a dissapointment. Stick to the bar at the marina.
