I bought a security system from ConnectiveHome, and was told by the salesman that the price of the monitoring would never go up, and that the (3-year) contract could be broken if necessary, provided that I gave back some free equipment they had provided. Well, the price went up after just over one year and they didn't seem to be able to do anything about it. Now, 18 months later, the house that was being protected is going to be torn down. I called ConnectiveHome to cancel the contract, and have been told that they sold the contract and can't or won't cancel it - so I'm responsible for an additional 15 months of monitoring which will cost close to $400 - for a house that doesn't even exist any more. Don't believe what these people tell you - they seem to misrepresent a lot of information in order to get a sale.
