In today's world it is rare that you find companies that still look at customer satisfaction as their main concern. You will find such a place at Contemporary Upholstery & Repair! I recently took my 2003 Ford Mustang Convertible there for a new cloth top. I must say that the car looks almost brand new. Now I'm sure you can find many local shops that will put the same brand of top on your car but they all will lack one thing.... Jim Egan, the owner of Contemporary Upholstery & Repair. Jim is a modern Renaissance man; just spend a few minutes in conversation with him. His personal passion for automobiles wouldn't let him do anything less than a stellar job on your vehicle! When I picked up the car (on the day it was promised!) , the top was not only perfect, but Jim had also washed and cleaned the car because, as he said, "a car like that deserves to look its best". Where else are you going to find service, and an attitude, like that today. Kudos to Jim and his shop.

Had a problem with my car seat and called Contemporary Upholstery & Repair. Talked to the owner, Jim Egan, and he said to bring the car over and he would be happy to take a look at the problem. We went over and he looked at the problem and fixed it and at no charge. How about that?? I would recommend Contemporary Upholstery & Repair to anyone that is in need of his services. Fantastic, thank you again, Mr Egan.

I just wanted to thank Jim at Contemporary Upholstery & Repair for making our old Mustang look new again. The soft trim on the doors came loose and they got it put back just like new. It was quick, professional and competitively priced. I would definitely recommend them.
Re-glued the soft interior door trim in our 2006 Mustang GT.

Jim was great--friendly and honest. I own a Toyota Solara and they replaced the convertible top. I was only without my car for a few days. Now I feel like I'm in a new car. They even washed the car for me before I picked it up. Very reasonable price, too.

Jim was incredible to work with! I needed to have my vintage motorcycle seat reupholstered and was worried that I would get ripped off. I read a lot of reviews for different shops online, but Jim was the most responsive and told me to come in so that he (the owner) could personally take a look at the seat and give me a quote. He gave me his honest opinion and instead of trying to just take my money and upholster the whole seat, he said it would be better to preserve the integrity of the seat and only fix the back part of the seat that was tearing. He told me it would be ready in 2-3 days and it was ready that same afternoon! I could not be more pleased with the quality of the repair and will be recommending Jim to all of my friends in the area.

Called and spoke with Jim. He gave me great advice to repair my top- even if that meant less $ for him. He even told me where and what the repair items were. Great guy and if the owner is great, the business has to be great.

Occasionally one encounters a tradesman who provides service far beyond what one expected. That was the case with Mr. Jim Egan of "Contemporary Upholstery & Repair". My wife's car needed a repair to the upholstery on both front seats. Jim looked at the problem and said that it was a job I myself could do and showed me how to do it. Of course, brain surgery, is easy if one knows how to do it. Upon discussing the matter with my wife we decided it would be best to let Jim do the repair which he did to my complete satisfaction. This was such a pleasant experience I could almost wish I needed another auto upholstery repair. Thanks Jim.

I have (had-) a big problem- I can't sit properly in my own truck. After doing some research I came across Jim's reviews through a fellow F150 owners' remarks. Although I had read the best about the service approach, I was absolutely amazed to see it's actually true. Jim not only told me that my idea of "modifying" the seat would not make sense at all but actually helped me to find a quick fix on the internet (!). I was ready to pay whatever it takes just to fully enjoy my truck again- and I know Jim knew. Most businesses out there would have tried to strip me down to the bones. Not the way Jim does business. Hard to find attitude nowadays. Definitely recommended. Thanks, Andreas

I had the top replaced on my '98 Celica convertible and it looks fabulous, better than when I bought it 13 years ago. Very fair price and a great warranty . I will be taking my '95 Celica to Jim for a new top asap. I highly recommend!!!. Two thumbs up!
