We contacted Cool Masters to quote some services at our non-profit dog shelter. I think this is my first negative online review ever. That's how disappointed I am. We met with Jon and really... liked him. Moreover, we felt he was very professional and had the best, most cost-effective approach to our job. However, we never received our quote. We followed up by phone repeatedly, were promised we would receive it over the course of the next month. We never did. I figured "surely with 420 great reviews on Kudzu, it must be an oversight!". I called the office daily for the better part of a week, each day being promised a response. At this point, it was more a matter of curiosity? Why was there no response? I asked for a courtesy call from Jon. Nothing. I finally received a quote that only had two AC systems on it. No spray foam insulation. No mini split system. I still can't believe the poor service. So I just wanted to give folks a heads up that it's not worth chasing down a quote if they don't respond in a reasonable time. I'm glad for all the folks that did have a positive experience, but we aren't one of them.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Had the lower unit in my house replaced. Upper unit is now only blowing warm air. It was just after 10pm, when this happened. I was going to wait until the morning to give them a call, and I figured that I would drop them an email. Within 30 minutes the owner of the company called me back and walked me through some trouble shooting tips on the telephone for the upper unit. He had already talked to the tech, who visited my house. When the troubleshooting didn't resolve it, he got ahold of this scheduler to move stuff around to get a tech to my family first thing in the morning. This company is THE GOLD standard for customer service. They drive to resolve the issue. When the owner of the company is genuinely concerned about the comfort of my family in the middle of the night, it says a lot about his business ethic. I wish that I could find this type of service with every company!

(The following was my first review, & I kept this opinion until this summer when they just stopped services w/ no explanation) So happy I called these guys. I hesitated to call because they weren't as close by as some other HVAC companies, but I went w/ reviews on Kudzu and so glad I did. Jonathan came out to the house initially to look at our very old upstairs unit. He explained in great detail, without being condescending in the least, how it was not cost effective to fix such an old, outdated unit. I figured as much, but Jonathan didn't just tell me.. he told me why. In the same visit I showed him my working furnace downstairs, which is just as ancient, to ask him how it looked. He immediately saw a crack in one of the chambers, and was very adamant about how I should never ever use that furnace again because he was positive that I had CO leaking into my home. He took the time to show me the other three chambers that showed normal readings, and how dangerously high the bad one was. His guys came out on the scheduled date and did a great job. Jonathan came out today again to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction. Then he hooked up my new wifi system (LOVE IT) and showed me how to do that. He is a very impressive guy, knows his stuff backwards and forwards, is very polite but thorough, and provides excellent customer service. Like I said, you will not be disappointed.

I have a rental condo, and the AC unit has been troublesome since the day I bought it. Others have come out to repair it and have fixed the immediate problem. However, this was the first time someone has taken me to the unit (which was on the roof of a 4-story building), shown me the issue, fixed the elusive leak that no one else had identified while I stood there, and charged me LESS than they originally estimated because it required less Freon than they thought. And I know it required less, because he weighed it right there! Thanks Jon, appreciate the great service.

We were in need to replace the upstairs A/C as last summer we had to add Freon 3 times and a serviceman diagnosed a leakage in the coil. It was a 10 SEER, 14 years old model. February seemed like a good time to replace the unit and we decided to upgrade the whole system, including furnace as the old blower was quite noisy and sometimes it would wake me up at night with its hum. I already had a quote from another company (through Home Depot) but decided to get another one to make sure we are not getting ripped off. Well, we were. Cool Masters quote was almost $3,000 less for the same equipment! I decided to give Cool Masters a try and boy, did they do a great job! Crew was very professional and had a great attention to details. Trust me on this one, Iím in quality assurance business and I can tell you that they did an excellent job. Way to go Jonathan and crew! Oh, and by the way, please do yourself a favor Ė ask Jonathan about new Wi-Fi thermostats. Iím glad I did! You will not regret it. Now I can go on vacation and not worry about if I forgot to turn on/off A/C or heater as I can control them over my smartphone now!

Eric came out to our house today to replace our broken thermostat. As with all Cool Masters employees, he was kind, comfortable to be around and efficient. We would never use any other Cooling and Heating company- thank you!

We interviewed several contractors to finish our basement but decided to go with Cool Masters for HVAC because we trusted them based on the great experience we had with them in the past. Cool Masters did a great job installing a dual-zone system. The job was finished on time and the price was great.

Came out the same day. Jonathan has a great personality + he knows his stuff. I had a HVAC system installed about 1.5yrs ago that has never heated correctly. After having the company that installed the system come back several times and two other companies I decided to try cool masters after seeing their reviews. I spoke with Jonathan over the phone told him my problem, he knew over the phone what the problem was. After being onsite about 5 -10 minutes he confirmed the issue and found a few more. Jonathan immediately resolved all the problems while educating me. Cool Masters is a life saver!!! - ADiakite

This is my second time using Cool Masters to work on my heating system and both times they did an excellent job. They come in, find the problem in 5 mins, fix it in about 10 mins, and they're out! They are reasonably priced as well. Mike was the technician who completed my last repair. He was very professional and had my heating system repaired and working within 15 mins.

On a moment notice, Jonathan came through for us and our new home. We're having a new home built and I contacted Jonathan about insulating our garage ceiling before drywall was scheduled to be installed the very next day. Jonathan made it happen that same night... started at 6pm and finished up around mid-night. That's what I call going above and beyond for his customers. I spent countless hours a few years ago looking for a good HVAC company to redo my entire system. That included the furnace, AC, and duct work. The previous system was not zoned, so we wanted that too. After looking at all sorts of sites and reviews, I had a few companies come out. Johnathon came out and immediately I knew he was knowledgeable and had the best solution, and one of the best prices (not the cheapest, but the cheapest one I would not want back in my home). I got it installed and have a great system. After a few years to make sure the system was fine and having them maintain it, I can honestly say Cool Masters is always there for me. Any questions I have they are on the phone with me. Any issues I have, they are at my home for me. Thanks Jonathon.

Rep was very knowledgable. He said he would send an estimate for a basement heat pump system that evening. I called a few days later and they said I would get it the next day. It's been over 2 weeks now, still nothing. I was actually planning on using them if their price was fair. If I operated my business that way, I would lose my clients. So I cannot recommend them.

Peter, once again - I take full responsibility not following up with our proposals. We are using a third party proposal program which apparently had a bug either not allowing attachments or dumping the email into a spam folder. I am too much of a 'no pressure' type of person - I previously felt calling on customers asking if they have made a decision was a pushy type of gesture. This blip of our proposal software has definitely changed our view of this opinion. Should you still need your system installed, all upgrade fees will be waived and an additional 18% discount will be applied. I personally apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and hope all goes well for your basement project. We used them during the summer with an AC emergency and were happy with the service and signed up for the seasonal maintenance check on our furnace/ac system. They came in and did an inspection and the guy was worried of the safety of our furnace. He scheduled for another guy to come out and test and his apt was scheduled 10-1 on a Saturday. No call or anything giving us any indication what time they would be here. We got tired of waiting and we called at 12:30 to see if they were still coming. He showed up at 12:50. Waste of a Saturday morning. He condemned our system saying it was unsafe and disconnected it and the we would need to have a complete AC/Furnace system and he would have us a quote by the end of the day. Itís now 9 days later and has yet to see a quote or anything. With the change in weather, our thermostat reads low 60s inside the house (upstairs). I called a few days ago and the girl said heís been real busy and she would let him know to put in a stack to get to quicker. I guess if you want to know a quick way to lose a customer that was ready to buy a complete system this is how.

My absolute deepest apologies for your disappointment in our company. I can't tell you how hard our team at Cool Masters strives to be the best at what we do - to provide simply the best customer service. We are one of the few service companies with an appointment time window less than 4-5 hours and run on time 95% of the time.
Saturday the 20th was a particular hard day for us with a few guys out - and I did my best to pick up the slack. Your dissatisfaction is even more disheartening to me as I chose to serve our customers over a planned family event. Your time and urgency are so important and I personally truly feel a loss when we fall short. I do thank you for your time in leaving the review on kudzu as it lights a fire under us to be better - no one wants to read about someone's disappointment in their work.

My husband and I are new to the neighborhood in Conyers GA. Back home in NYC it tooks us years of bad apples to finally compile a list of trustworthy efficient service people. Well our AC goes out and we envision what nightmare awaits us. We call Cool Masters and much to our surprise we are met with professionals who know what they are doing, love their jobs and their customer care is bar none. When their Seviceman Jonathan showed up he put us at ease immediately. Within minutes he diagnosed the problem assured us it was a minor fix and provided additional information about our AC system that was above and beyond his call of duty. Not only did he spare us cost on this visit his expert advise will save us money in the future. Dont not fear they are fair and you will fare better with Cool Master than anyone else. This may sound corny but that is just how happy we are to find an AC service provider who is on our list "The only Folks to call" when you need help. I truly cannot say enough about my recent experience with coolmasters, and there employees~ Every person from the first phone call to the office, to the service guys.. just nice, professional and friendly! It was about 99 degrees the day I called in my upper part of my house, our AC had been serviced at least 3 times with this summer by another small opereated company.. but never fixed our problem.. I read review on Kudzu for which I have never been disappointed. They sent someone out same DAY I called,Shane was right on time, found the problem quickly, and Bless him was soaking wet after climbing around in my attic, but he was not pushy, I didnt feel I was given a hard sale, but in fact a new unit was the best option for me. Our phone calls were returned quickly as well. I did have to wait three days to get my new install.. and I had to buy something to get me through that, however when Mike came to install right on time might I add, he did so while my teen girls were home and he was kind, and polite worked quickly in our opinion and explained what he was doing. I would HIGHLY recommend this company, and I will be using them for my needs from now on!
