If you don't REALLY offer 24 hour 7 day a week emergency service, then don't advertise that you do. I understand not wanting to work nights or weekends, but just be honest about it. 24 hour emergency service does not mean "We can send someone out in two days". Their web site is a lie. False advertising.

I had Cool Ray out to seal duct work in 2014 in my crawlspace. I had another contractor out to do an estimate on getting another air conditioning when he told me that my duct work was not sealed properly and I was leaking all kind of air in the crawl space. It was freezing cold down there while it was hot in the house. I had Cool Ray out again because they were supposed to fix the problem a year ago. The contractor went down there and said there was no problem. I have a friend who is a handyman come over later than day to seal the duct work with aluminum tape and lo and behold it fixed the problem of the hot house. If Cool Ray had been honest and just spent 20 minutes in my crawl space fixing the issue--all would have been fine. These folks are either crooks or they don't know what they are doing.

We had several estimates for a system replacement and Cool Ray was very competitive. The technicians kept everything very clean and professional during the installation process and the install was done better than I have ever seen. It has been over a year with the new HVAC and we have had no issues.

WOW! That's all I can say! I've had a lot of people out to my home recently due to a home renovation. So many great and wonderful people...which made today's visit that much more unacceptable. The guy that came out today was rude and obnoxious. He rolled his eyes, wouldn't listen to what you were saying and was condescending. He was on time... or within the 4 hour window. I was thankful for that. And, he did fix the problem (the original technician had installed the part INCORRECTLY but his attitude almost made me ask him to leave in the middle of the visit. As soon as our warranty is up... I'm switching to another company!

My second floor A/C unit was not cooling properly. I contacted Coolray on their website and requested an appointment in late afternoon. I received a call from them after 10 minutes and confirmed the appt. The tech, Kimball, showed up on time and very professional. He found the problem quickly. He offered us alternatives, and actually recommended the cheaper option. Wow! We followed his recommendation and A/C seems to be working. The price for the service was right. You get a discount if you book online on their website. Great experience. I definitely would use again.

I have been using them for years and paid them thousands of dollars over that time. Recently one of their HVAC Techs accidently damaged one the AC lines which caused a major leak in my attic. I had to pay over $700 in repairs to the ceiling and drywall. The tech called me to apologize and I called their office to ask for re-imbursement. They refused to pay us a single dime. I would fire them immediatly but I already paid for a 5 year maintenance contract. It is quite clear that they do not value their customers and in the future I will be sure to hire another company.

This review is for their plumbing arm, Mr. Plumber. I looked for their listing but could not find it. I called for their $93 or free drain opening special. They scheduled me between the hours of 8AM and 10AM. It's now 11:00AM. Still no one here. I called their office and they said that they had told me it would be between 8AM and 12PM. No correct. I specifically remember thinking "Gee, that time window's better than the cable company." So, now having taking time off of work, I am waiting in a technician that will show up at the tail end of their supposed window and make me miss even more work. I guess cheap is as cheap does. I haven't had service yet so I will update on value once they have been here. (Fingers crossed) UPDATE: They called me at 11:35 and told me that they would be another 30-45 minutes. Thanks for wasting half my day but no thanks to you and your poor service.

Every experience I've had with Cool Ray Heating and Air has been top notch. I have priced them with smaller and mid sized companies and they are pretty competitive. In fact they were far less than 3 other quotes I had done to replace my HVAC lines. I've referred them to several other clients of mine due to their professionalism, prices, and service they provide.

I cannot rate their quality or their value because the tech did not show during the 4 hour window. I was asked to be home between 10AM and 2PM. The tech did call at 1:45 to tell me I am his next call. He said it would take 30 minutes to get to my house. This was not the first time they were delayed. If a company cannot meet my schedule, there are others out there very willing to do so.

I am a long time CoolRay client for over 10 years. In the beginning they were the cheapest then they progressively got higher and I agree with the other reviews that they are in most cases the highest now. On the flip side; I have never had a problem with any of their work and I have never had to wait more than two days to get someone at my house. I do get a small discount as a repeat client but it is small and never more than $30 off. I continue to use them because they have been quick, no problems once they leave, and the warranties seem to cover most of my issues. That said, I was not pleased with a $575 charge to fix a shower handle on a basic 6 year old shower, so I will be securing other estimates before they come back and if they want my continued business they will have everything they need to price match and earn back my trust and my money.

Having to find a good company to service a newly purchased townhouse, my son-in-law recommended Cool Ray. Steven did an inspection on the AC, and one of the two units was not operating efficiently and had the old type freon. Mike F. called, and set up an appointment to investigate for a new system. Less than 30 hours later a brand new system was installed. I was given full credit for the work Steven had done, plus rebates, and discounts for a very competitive price.
